Strange choice of words! I don't doubt for one minute he never meant any harm by saying what he said. I've just never heard anyone use the words " feed the monkey" to encourage a player to give the ball to a team mate more often!
Obviously, wasn't noticed by the black lads going by their performances. SSN & Sun sensationalising trivial things again.
????????????????????????? it was an analogy. whichever player passed this on to the press is a jerk and needs dropping permanently from the england squad.
Thing is, he didn't say it to offend, his players didn't even take it as a racial thing, so why is there now an investigation? What a load of bullshit. If you see racism where there is none, then you're probably a bit racist yourself.
You know by now that the papers like to stick the boot in to England. They build them up, saying their the greatest thing since sliced bread, even before they qualify for a tournament, and then when we're about to kick off in a tournament, they slag them off no end- everything from the team to their birds going out shopping.
I always thought you'd be more of a strutter, casually calling people ****s as you flashed by. By the time they'd turned around you'd have vanished. Like Kaiser Sose.
I'm a pwopa tasty **** please log in to view this image I watched The Usual Suspects for the first time yesterday. Isn't that a quirk of fate? An enjoyable film, but a tad predictable.
The fact that Powar has spotted some offence in Hodgson's comments says far more about his own prejudices than Hodgson's. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...branded-racist-calling-Asian-fan-coconut.html Also, I have to say, whichever player leaked this has a problem.
When you create an organisation such as Kick It Out, the staff there are constantly striving to justify their existence. Is there racism in football, yes there is and KIO should have their say when it rears its ugly head. But I don't believe that there is as much racism as KIO would have us believe and certainly not in this instance. KIO need to look at themselves for getting excited about Woy's use of words.
At the risk of oversimplyfying things, isnt it the case that as someone else made a monkey connection with Townsend and the fact that they think of him like that makes them the racist? Doesnt it? That joke in isolation is not racist in any way, shape or form.
Absolutley. Imagine if Townsend stuck his tongue out during a post match interview with the manager and Roy had said, still on a high from winning the game mind you, "He's a cheeky monkey", they'd be up in ****ing arms. It's a shambles.
Ya pays peanuts... Football's a meritocracy, if you're good enough you're in. I'd wager it's made more black millionaires than any other industry. KIO should **** off and go deal with industries and or countries where real problems exist.
Surely it's possible to think a black individual looks like a monkey without being racist? Just like saying Gareth Bale is a monkey can be. Kick It Out is pointless. It may have been worth something 30 years ago but not anymore.
And there's another one. Imagine a situation whereby a manager bemoans the lack of quality in his team as he is working to a strict budget and he says "If you pay peanuts you get monkeys". Will Kick It Out focus attention on any black players in the squad and suggest he was aiming his comments at them? They probably would if this is anything to go by.
