It may do. I've always seen natural position as the position played though their early development. Otherwise it's an adapted position, but agree it's open to interpretation.
Sadly, the natural position of some of these players is on their knees shagging the club up the arse. Di Canio's heart must have sunk when he walked into Sunderland.
if bardsley plays again for us its definite the lunatics have taken over the asylum, how can any true fan want him in the shirt again
However much it rankles mate it`s nothing to do with us. It`s a question of how much of a plus GP thinks he will bring to the team.
There has been plenty of players over the years who have made a name for themselves whilst playing 'out of position'.... Including our very own SKP who as we all know was a right back (allegedly!?) And another who benefitted from an 'injury crisis' at his club was Paul Warhurst who although a solid defender reverted to a strikers position where he scored 12 goals in 12 games... As a result the 'defender' earned an England call up as a 'striker' !!! The moral of the story: What YOU consider to be your BEST position may well NOT be in another's eyes!
Gardner need to be in our midfield, he can score a goal, look at our record over the last few years?? We don't score enough goals, Gardner scores goals he needs to play and play in the middle of the park. .................westwood................. ..Celest Roberage Brown Colback.. ...........Gardner Catts Ki.............. Johnson.............................. Giac ...................Fletcher.................. The above IMO is our strongest team with people playing in their natural positions. Although Johnson is the worst player on form in that side.
my point about the passing was not if Colback was good enough, but going on passing accuracy alone we should have a midfield lineup of colback, vaughan and Ki so I hope to god Poyet is not just looking at the passing stats.
