I was one of them, Interestingly they closed both the upper tiers of SBR & SAR stands, for me it made a much better feel in the ground and would clearly save some money on overheads.
Think the club should seriously consider doing this moving forward for Town home games, move the fans in those areas to fill up both Cobbold & Co-op stands, most if not all of these moves would be an upgrade on seat, surely it would help make for a better atmosphere whilst help with cost control. I appreciate it will be a bit of a headache to set up but most of that cost would be purely an admin charge. It would also make the ground feel fuller. Just a thought.

Hoppers I used to take an active interest in our national team but these days I'm more of a casual bystander but fair play to you for actively supporting the national teams. I will be at Portman Road on Saturday for the Burnley game so I hope that there will be a good crowd for this one! <ok> Mind you at £33 a ticket... I doubt it! <yikes>

Sounds like a really good idea. Would definitely generate a better atmosphere. The only problem would be moving all those season ticket holders. Why don't you write to the two MDs?

I thought Smalling looked poor first half but got gradually better as the game went on. Think Smalling and Jones will make great CBs but they need to play there every week or it could be wasting their potentially because they keep playing odd games in different positions. I'm not overly confident about Johnson either at B, he's decent going forwards but poor defensively and although I prefer Walker he isn't the best defensively either. What ever happened to Micah Richards, he had a hell of a season a couple of years ago at RB, shame he hasn't managed to push on from there!!

Defensively we've been okay but it's the only position I feel we don't have a great deal of quality or experience, as I said I think Smalling and Jones could be good but they're a way off being reliable and need more experience at CB. And last night, yes we were up against Lewandowski but some of our players were pulled out of position far too easily, it reminded me slightly of us when Delaney was in the team, in that you'd see a line of 3 defenders and think where the hell is the 4th and you see he'd been pulled out of position and was half way up the pitch.

Hart made a crucial save yesterday, fair play to him coming off his line quickly to close the player down. And good on Roy for sticking with him, I think he got that call right, he's blatently a good GK who's made a few mistakes and needs the manager to stick by him.

That wasn't down to Delaney but Jewell. Delaney and McAuley together were a good CB partnership. It was worst of all at the beginning of last season but when Mick came in it tightened up straight away. I'm more than comfortable with Baines or Cole, Jagielka and Cahill or Lescott (although he needs to play for his club!) and Walker at next years' World Cup. If we have to resort to Smalling and Jones I'm not so confident and for me Johnson is an infinitely better option than Smalling at full back.
