Both have said there will be lots of goals, so I'll plump for a tedious 0-0.

Butcher and Keane on telly - what a comparison; like chalk and twat.

I thought England were excellent tonight and better than Friday night.

Great punditry from an Ipswich legend and Terry Butcher as well.

Hopefully after the past couple of performances, people will start to get interested back in the England team again. Pride has started to return!!

I can't remember an England performance as good as last night. I think we would probably have to go back as far as Bobby Moore's playing days.

Roy Hodgson deserves all the credit. We set out with a balanced attacking set up and the defence is playing as a unit. For all the stick Jo Hart has got over his form, you can tell when you have a proper proper keeper because the defence is well organised. You will never stop the opponents getting any chances at this level especially when you're playing an attacking formation. Every time they did get through Hart had his angles covered. We have no egos like John Terry in the side so everyone is playing for each other.

We were playing some excellent football and created a hat full of chances. Mistakes crept in and there were nerves all round, but last night will be a tougher test of nerves than any we'll face in Brazil until the final itself. I love the balance in the team and Rooney can flourish with so many others in the side who can score goals and support the front men, with the pressure off him his form is better than ever. Whisper it, but the best nations in the world will not fancy coming up against this England team next summer.

Agree with most of this Hamps, think Roy deserves alot of credit. Although I'm not convinced by our defence, particularly the CBs, yesterday the back for got caught out of position a few times and it wasn't just because we were a bit more attacking. I've been impressed with Roy and hope he gets a few more years in the job, he's a proper England manager. Saying all this I'd imagine it'll only take one bad performance before the gloom decends again or conversely a good performance and we think we're world beaters which will leave us bitterly dissapointed next summer!!!

Smalling was the only problem for me last night, it should've been Johnson really if he's fit?

People are criticising a defence and keeper who have conceded fewer goals than anyone except Spain (who played two games less). Poland got in a few times but we are talking about Lewandowski here who was restricted to just two or three chances and didn't get a clear sight of goal once in the game. Let's get this in perspective and remember all the defensive and goalkeeping howlers and blunders we've seen over the last decade.

Another pleasing thing is that we are not begging for players now. We have clear options in every position. John Ruddy just needs a bit of game time now in case he's needed next summer - but to have a chance we will definitely need Hart, Gerrard and Rooney playing in the knock outs.
