With it being Angus and his council links Im almost certain it will be. Just for the record, Aluko is expected to sign a new deal but that wont be what Angus was talking about. He tweeted about 'interesting developments' late last night and they were looking into it, it wont be in today's issue.
Though it won't be the 'interesting' story mentioned, it does seem that Aluko will sign a new deal this week... http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19933952-detail/story.html?#axzz2hljA0K00
I feel like all the interesting stories that the HDM give us are not interesting nor are they all that special.
Seems like a small % of the interesting ones they have claimed are coming. I do agree that was an interesting piece though.
Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport Understand "interesting developments at #hcafc" may be to do with Assem Allam re-opening lines of communication with Hull City Council (1/2) Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport (2/2) Putting in some calls to try & get more on that but if so, has to be a positive & for the benefit of all concerned. #hcafc
Dr Allam heard Steve Brady was out for 4 weeks with a hernia so he's making contact whilst he's off sick
Good stuff. Hope it's true. Owning the ground would be one good thing but Assem showing he can change his mind would be another one.
Interesting choice of a User Name and Avartar. And you are unusually defensive about grooming. Making light of the situation and all the time posing (sorry POSTING) as a character that has issues with his her sexuality. My, my you do need help. I know it must be difficult, but now's the time seek treatment and end your inner torment. Was that enough of a comedic reaction? All in fun mate, I know you must be......well actually, I don't know what you must be!
But who owning the stadium ? If it is to be owned & permanently tied to Hull City then yes, but to be owned by the Allams, please god, NEVER !!
Because the club like Hull FC only rent access to the stadium. Ownership would probably pass to the leaseholders (ie the SMC - Owned by The Allams)
Well even if it was the club it would still be indirectly owned by the Allams but I don't see a problem with that as long as there are covenants ensuring it can't be taken away from the club/SMC (whichever owns it).
Don't know if related to this "interesting development" but I've just heard Allam is looking at buying Craven Park and develop a sports village on the surrounding land.
But that is where the problem lies, the SMC & Hull City AFC while sharing the same owner are completely separate companies. Hull City AFC could easily be sold on & the SMC be retained by the Allams (who might own the stadium), how would that benefit the club ? You would simply be changing landlord !!
