Well said, i think youve probably summed up exactly what happened.

The questions id like answering though are:-

*Why did Kate wash Maddies fave teddy, surely she'd want to keep her smell on it?
*Why did she leave the twins alone after knowing Maddie was missing to raise the alarm, when the abducter couldve still been present. Surely she'd have screamed for help from the Balcony?
*How did the twins sleep through everything?
*Why did Kate just sit on the bed when the Police searched the apartment shortly after, surely she should have been helping or searching the streets?

    I cant see it.
I hate the McCanns for leaving three kids under 4 alone in a strange place. Unforgivable. That said if they were complicit in Maddie's death why beg the Police to investigate? Doesn't add up.
Funny thing is though I remember the days in Pontins when they had baby wardens.
Parents would go to the camp club and leave their kids indoors. If a Warden heard the sound of a crying child the room number was displayed on a huge board in the club.
    Times have changed, thankfully.

She wasn't thinking of herself. She was getting her favourite toy ready for her return.

*Why did she leave the twins alone after knowing Maddie was missing to raise the alarm, when the abducter couldve still been present. Surely she'd have screamed for help from the Balcony?

    Panic

*How did the twins sleep through everything?

It's amazing what baby's can sleep through until you want to go to bed

*Why did Kate just sit on the bed when the Police searched the apartment shortly after, surely she should have been helping or searching the streets?

    Brain overload. She simply shutdown.

Nothing scientific there. Just thinking how I would feel and possibly do.

Id say the exact opposite of all these questions answers you gave would have been more realistic. I maybe agree about the twins sleeping through. Like I said I think you hit the nail on the head with your earlier post though.

All I can compare this too is getting my car nicked. I know I didn't act rationally for about ten minuets afterwards. You can hardly expect a mother to act rationally when her kid has been nicked.

Christ, you lot are a sick bunch. Cannot believe anyone would run a poll on a child being dead or alive. You prefer to believe an article in the Daily Mail FFS and then make comments like 'always thought that Gerry McCann looked a bit shifty' and 'All I can compare this too is getting my car nicked'
You should all hang your head in shame.

Anyone know how much this is costing the taxpayer perhaps the taxpayers alliance would be able to help with this question - no? it would be interesting to find out how many freedom of information requests they have put into public bodies regarding things like for example costs of child protection and other social services etc. and for example how much time/costs for the officers involved to produce the information. - just a thought like

Just been talking to the lads at 5-a-side and the main thing we want answering is "is it true that traces of a dead body were found in the mccanns car and how is this possible without incriminating them?" If the police could answer that then it may take some suspicion of the McCann's, as it stands that's one major problem for me. If the mail have lied about it they are totally ****ed up/

No woman I've discussed the case with can understand that ....... none of them would dream of doing it.

It's such a terminal thing to do that it makes me cringe.

Can you imagine taking something so precious and thinking, "Now then, if I put this on a boil wash for 40 minutes it'll be just like new."

Then again, I can't understand how anyone could leave 3 tiny children alone in an unlocked flat in a foreign country night after night.

There are 30 police officers working on the case including the 'elite detectives' from New Scotland Yard and 6 based in Faro.
The Prime Minister ordered the new investigation and suggested that 'no expense be spared'.
Regular visits to Germany, Holland etc for a variety of British policemen.

It's reassuring to know that every British child that goes missing will have this level of resources spent on finding them.

I've looked at your responses and tried to see things from your point of view.

Try as I might I just can't do it.

The McCanns have appeared calm, controlled and calculating all through this terrible affair, I just don't see them as people who panic and 'shutdown'.

Washing the doll is just unnatural, in my eyes, and inconceivable.

I'd naturally assumed their total innocence, when the story broke, but when Gerry claimed he'd used his keys to go into an unlocked flat I started wondering.

There are just too many ifs & buts in the whole story and I think the police are hanging them out to dry.

    Hope I'm wrong like.

I wasn't trying to say that what I said did happen. Just suggesting stress can make people act in very curious ways.
I can't think of anything more stressful than losing your kid and knowing deep down. It was all your fault for leaving her alone.

I reckon you're spot on with this Smug...How many times have we seen the police parade people out in front of the camera's knowing fine well, they are after those very people..think of those barstewards who set their house on fire in Derby and killed their own kids. I think this is whats going on here.

Sorry mate, I think you've got this wrong.

I'm not a Sunderland fan but have kept an eye on this thread and personally feel that the lads have entered into a considered debate on a highly emmotional subject with differing views of course. They have taken their respective views on information that has been made public and also offered their own perspective on what they believe, I don't see that as being sick.
