I think we will striggle tbh and maybe scrape a 1-0 at best but it will be squeaky bum time.

 

Poland looking quite lively.

 

I think there was a bit too much talk of this being fairly simple. They haven't got anything to play for etc. Poland are decent, they have some very good players. Shaping up to be a great game....So close from Townsend!!!

Good to watch, this England side have a bit verve about them. The injection of youth from Hodgson is well timed. He has done a good job. They play football the right way, and have that yard of pace now.

 

Danny Welbeck's still fcking garbage though. One of those who should be nowhere near the side. Only there because he plays with the best.

 

We are turning the screw here. Townsend seems to offer so much more than walcott in terms of linking up the forward play and bringing others into it.

Get in Shrek!! We are playing well. The quality of the football is encouraging. For me Theo is going to have to do a lot to get that place back. Townsend is making a big differnce

I am normally negative about England
(Yeah I no its a bit of a shock) but bloody hell I have actually enjoyed this first half, some real energy and buzz and they look like they have some direction.
We will never be world beaters but all I want is to be entertained and to see them giving a real good go.

With the likes of Barkley in the mist we are looking heathy then normal
And I don't actually mind woy

No disrespect but I think these teams are being built up to protect us from the probable England failings before they happen.

You couldn't have hand picked a more comfortable qualifying group for me, sorry.

No, you're right mate fair play – you can only beat what's in front of you.

I was reacting more to the original point, you know, beat Montenegro 4-1 and the press starts discussing which mantlepiece the World Cup will look best on...

A bit of healthy realism going into a major tournament is required please!
