Great news. Fletcher is fit for the weekend.
Now, do we start him or keep him for the nags ?

Play! He needs a sharpener before the skunks <ok>

    Fantastic news, though.

No brainer, if he's fit he plays, simple. Like Sid mentioned, use Swansea as a warm up to the skunks. Great news though.

If I were you I'd just have him in the reserves for the next month or so...no need to rush him back just for us <whistle>

Start him - play him for an hour (or at least until half time) to get some sharpness back. We need goals and he is the only striker we have who is capable at the moment. Hope Jozy will prove me wrong but, up to now, I can't see it!

NO ! keep him wrapped in cotton wool, (he can train in my back garden where I will keep a close eye on him) until about 1.25 pm a week on sunday, play the reserves against Swansea as well, I don't give a toss what happens down there ( a point would be nice though) THAT match is the biggest of the decade now, them players better know what it means to us (Di canio is still a hero for the 3-0 win) and by the way Remy was in a car crash with a taxi driver !, so if he is out that should be three points for us. And hopefully it will be sold out.

Impact sub for me. Stupid rushing him into a start if he isn't ready.

It wasn't a leg injury so there's no reason not to play him.

He'll need some match fitness so I'd play him from the start on Saturday .... he has over a week until he'll have to play again.

he has to play for me. jozy's hold up play is decent but he doesnt look like scoring much so we need fletch back.

At this moment in time, 3 points on Saturday is much more important than 3 points on the 27th. After 5pm on Saturday then that changes but right now, we need points on the board this week. So he has to start

Totally agree mate. Every game is a chance for 3 points and while the derby is massive we have to take every game as it comes. Fletch is our big goal threat and we need him playing as many minutes as possible beetween now and the end of the season so we can give ourselves a chance of atying up

Would you play him with Altidore? i can't see Poyet playing both of them tbh.

I would. It's evident on our last few performances that when Altidore wins the ball he hasn't got many options for laying it off, Fletch would give him those options. I reckon they'll work well together. Either way, Fletcher needs games at the minute so he HAS to play.

i would play the 2 together. jozy holds the ball up well so could drop deeper and be the link beetween the midfield and attack which we have been missing. they are never going to build a dececnt partnership if they dont gets minutes together.

Play him from the start and take him off once we have a two goal cushion. (Hopefully, after about 20 minutes!)
