Chav FC have more fans than Dipper FC, I cant believe that. But UTD the worlds best club with a 1st choice manager rule the world
there's no way Chelsea have more fans than Liverpool good to know we're the most popular club on thew world.
that CL win I think had boosted Chelsea fanbase and don't forget Chelsea had invested on many good players over the years, so they look more attractive for new generation of supporters than Liverpool
would be interesting to know how they got those numbers and what years that table covers and also what it would read like if you took the same teams and put them in order of success over that period.
it is a simple survey mate with a simple QS " what club you support?".... so nothing to do with history or time period
Now that's what I call extrapolation! At least Utd's own survey on this involved around 50,000+ people. And given that one showed we had around 650 million fans, that's the one I choose to believe
I recently asked 10 friends of mine who they supported, whilst on the way to a game - they all said Chelsea. By my calculations, estimations and approximations, that makes Chelsea fan-base c. 42.376 quazillion trillion
I filled in a questionnaire by myself with one question on it - "which football team do you support" I answered Liverpool. Meaning the whole world support Liverpool. I was so shocked at the result I ended up using SPSS and running various statistical analyses on it - But the answer stayed the same.
Exactly small sample sizes don't reflect actual facts. FACT But Shwan - the once confessed 'Professor' seems this to be the case
I just asked everyone in Liverpool, who do you support Everton got 78% Liverpool got 11% UTD got 98% All true, nothing made up at all, and my stats dont lie at all, honest
I asked a select 20 people in work who they supported and after extrapolating the results I came to the following conclusion: 80% of Manchster supports Manchester United 10% of Manchster Supports Stockport County 5% of Manchster Supports Altrincham 5% of Manchster Supports Chester
The most supported club on the planet. I can undertand why the scousers have fallen so much. they are now just a mediocre mid table club, with only some really historical successes for their fans to fall upon...As for the Chavs I cannot believe they are above Milan and Bayern. A few years of buying success by Roman with Maureen surely cannot have increased their support that much. ..
The numbers don't all add up, one thing that I think is correct are the top 3 in terms of the order they appear in, but even then I don't think the numbers will be close to accurate. Questioning 1000 people from 34 countries is only 29-30 people from each country. Who's betting most of the people questioned in each country were from that countries capital city. The top, top supported clubs get away with that because they have supporters everywhere, but clubs that just have spporters generally in the capitol cities will benefit greatly from that. The other thing is only 34 countries were involved, there are a lot more than 34 countries with high football fanbases. 1000 people is no where near enough to get any real indication of how many people support each team.
