Brilliant, we got a leeds fan lecturing us on spending, maybe we can get a millwall fan to lecture us on fan behaviour, a fulham fan on away attendance and a Man U fan on how you should support your local team!

Funniest thing about your arguments Josh is that the parachute payments have nothing to do with the FA. It is the Premier League that is behind the payments. Simply because they have to take responsibility for the economical burdens they put on teams playing in it.

Agree with you about the state of the FA though, but I'm sorry to say they are not the ones to blame for the parachute payments.

You are aware that the FA and The Premier League are two different instances?

    Good post,

I think Dean Hoyle could spend 100 million if he wanted to be fair but he runs Huddersfield very good with cheap match day prices.

Hopefully thats where we will be with our new 40k stadium. We cannot compete at LR without extra money from our owners. I bet any fan would rather spend a bit more and compete short term than go to L1 where our stadium would be right at home.

How much have QPR spent in the last 3 years?

Did Leeds get to the Semi Final of the Champions League spending less money?

EDIT : I wasn't trying to be patronising with this comment, just read it back and it could sound like that.

whats the waiting list for season tickets like at your place? would you fill a 40k stadium? trust me nothing worse than seeing a stadium with 10k empty seats

We had record STs this season, once we get to 14k, a person cannot buy 2 seats together with an unobstructed view. Seeing as we have at least 10k STs, theres not many seats to go around if you want a decent view or watch with a mate. so 10k STs, 3k away fans means there arent many half decent seats left.

Also anyone over 5ft 8 would find it physically painful to sit in those seats.

Of course we would fill 40k in the PL as we wouldnt be charging £50 a game.

hope you get to where you need to be, its painful having everything we need to be a premiership club apart from a decent owner.

At least you guys have good owners everything else is fairly easy to sort

No it isn't - you really shouldn't type words when you clearly don't know their meaning or you'll look stupid (as above) <ok>

It's fairly simple, parachute payments are just to keep the Premiership competitive. They're not designed to make the Championship a level playing field.

If the people that should care, actually did then there wouldn't be the ridiculous disparity between divisions.

It stops teams that go up from missing out on players by only being able to offer one year deals (if they were prudent) and is a bail out benefit to all teams that are in the Prem.

Consider it a deferred bonus for being there rather than a bonus for relegation if it helps you sleep better.

That's not to say that any of the money apportionment is fair because it isn't.

If Alanis Morissette can call anything ironic, then Flyer, is perfectly at liberty to refer any comment he wishes "ironic".

The fact you believe it is not ironic, actually proves his point !! So defend away, and irony will be your constant companion !!

Lets seem, going on about small clubs when youve just shipped 5 goals at the mighty bourenmouth and also 4 at Birmingham and you could only get 13k against Leeds while getting under 10k at most other matches.

Can you not see the irony about you banging on about small clubs?

Thats the difference between us and Portsmouth, their owner never had the money to spend so it all went tits up when he had to pay it back, our owners do have the money, hence the cat 1 academy, new training ground and new stadium soon.

Sorry sb - I forgot that most of you are from Shepherds Bush therefore the likes of Flyer and yourself would get left behind with the longer words.
Will keep the tone more "West London" from now on for the more intellectually challenged amongst you - alright mukka?

I'm not at all sure which side of the debate you're placing yourself, TC - you're doing a brilliant, and I must say very believable impression of the 'ignorant observer', however I can't see where you are suddenly going to dazzle us with your insightful brilliance, and as such, maybe it's not a consciously determined position you are holding - maybe you really are that ignorant?

I'd love to hear your reasoned views on this.....
