NEWCASTLE United have been linked with two Manchester United wingers – while the Red Devils have been scouting a French star.

Reports in today’s Sunday newspapers say that Wilfried Zaha and Ashley Young could move to St James’s Park on loan in January.

The Sunday Mirror says Manchester United are considering loaning out Young to help get his career back on track – with Newcastle and West Ham at the front of the queue for his services.

But the Daily Star on Sunday says it’s another England international, 20-year-old winger Zaha, who the Magpies are favourites to sign on loan in January.

Meanwhile, staying with Manchester United, the Metro reports they have been scouting 23-year-old Marseille playmaker Remy Cabella – valued by his club at £100m – ahead of potential January transfer.

Zaha on loan would be great.

Play him one side and Benni on the other, then with Remy in the middle, we'd have attacking options that will actually scare defences.

To be honest, I haven't seen much of Zaha and one thing he does lack is PL experience. He came from the Championship with a great reputation but since his transfer he's played what... 1 competitive game? That to me doesn't show that Moyes has a particularly large amount of faith in him at the moment, considering he has been blooding other youngsters such as Adnan Januszaj.
Let's wait and see though - the kid could turn out great. And at this point I would pick my granny over Shola and Papiss Cisse, so we could always do with some more firepower up front.

    Zaha yes. Young? I dunno.

We need a damn striker, not more midfielders! Also a cb!

Moyes hasn't played Zaha since he was caught in bed with his daughter!

Good deal for you guys if he joins <ok>

Young?? No way, the guy is useless.

We could not afford Young`s wages so Zaha seems a great option if we cab bring him here for half a season. Never liked Young dives too much and moans

Ashley young would be like signing downing, johnson and various other over-rated British wingers.
We also would never pay his wages.
Dont even think Zaha would happen realistically

Pardew said he would like more British players, then go for Thomas Ince, plain and simple.

I don't think the business model has wavered, so Zaha won't be an option much in the same way Lukaku wasn't. Top players, sure, but I think we only loan if options to buy are included. We tend to own assets, not develop them. I may be wrong, as the situation with Remy has been labelled "complicated" by the manager, but that's what it feels like. Young may be an option, not sure of his Man U future - but I don't think he's the kind of player bothered by game time, seems to be more about the bling-factor; glamourous club, big salary, trophies by default. Not the type I'd see grafting in black & white every week. Imagine him and Ben Arfa on either wing? 1 game in every 3 we'd be playing with 9 men. So I don't see either happening.

I think we'll try for Ince agan and maybe see what happens with Danny Ings. I can foresee 2 or 3 arriving in January, all British, and that would be excellent in my book. We may be seeing what happens at the big clubs as well, with the likes of Demba Ba, John Guidetti, Micah Richards, Ryo Miyaichi, Javier Hernandez, etc. If we can't get English, English-speaking with Prem experience will no doubt be next on the list. I fully expect us to get one or two from the Championship and one of those mentioned.

Sounds like a good idea doesn't it. Pardew and a good portion of the fans want British players. We need a winger and strikers. Tom Ince is young, english, talented, reasonably priced, available and can fulfill the wing and 2nd striker role.

It seems pretty simple. Likely Ashley will do the opposite.

I honestly don't think we'll get anyone after hearing Pardew lay out the budget restrictions. We will have to hope to purchase someone nearing contract end with the club wanting to pick up a small fee before losing them for nothing.

If it's left up to Joe and his magic eardrums we'll end up with Willie Young and Louis Saha.
