Was just looking over Hodgson's record as England manager... Played - 21 Won - 12 Drawn - 8 Lost - 1 - (Italy at EURO2012)
I had been trying to think what the loss was, couldn't think so settled on Italy. I was indeed that game where Zlatan was unplayable.
I don't think Hodgson's done badly; we should have turned some of the draws in our qualifiers into wins, but we've also beaten Italy and drawn with Brazil under Roy. Roy>Redknapp.
What a boring weekend with no football and very little other sport (I refuse to count Formula 1 as a sport!). Would have been tolerable if the England game had been on the Saturday...why Friday? Now we have to wait till tomorrow for the Poland game. Roll on United.
One of the Polish papers has described England as Hugh Grant. World famous, still loveable but not quite what they once were.
Agree with Fran bring back the proper football. Even with Rickie and Boruc inviolved I can't generate that much enthusiasm.
Talking to a Polish guy who lives on my road and he reckons they have at least 20,00o tickets for tomorrow so should make for a good atmosphere.
Sky apologised for any offence after showing live shots of England training. I had obviously missed something so had to wind back to be offended. Sadly nothing to get excited about...just a little shorts jiggling which men have to do because of a basic design fault. The only thing that offended me was seeing Sterling called up.
Pardew was complaining yesterday about fans filming training sessions and then posting on the web. Looks like it helped Hull suss out his match tactics.
I will be there tomorrow night - looking forward to:- A nervy first half A dominant start to the second SRL coming on at 70 mins SRL scoring the winner in the 89th minute taking England to Brazil The whole stadium going nuts celebrating "England's Goal Machine!..................." Too much to ask for??????????????????
