I have enough trouble catching one wife. Multiple wives sounds like a ball ache.

Yeah, the thought was somewhere along the east coast from Massachusetts down to about Virginia.

I'd thought about Minnesota too especially now that I'm a Vikings fan. Tbh, I think I'd need a state that borders the ocean or at least a Great Lake, I couldn't stand living hundreds of miles from water.

It's just like something which I feel like I'm meant to do, like it's my calling or something. To leave these shores and all this rubbish behind and start a new life across the ocean. Like a modern day settler. Or an elf in LoTR. As Alison Kraus sings "I'll fly away, fly away old glory. I'll fly away in the morning" (though she's not referring to emigrating)

There's something about America I really like, too. The people there seem friendly, and you will get some people asking about the accent/The Queen - my family were once asked if we were Polish! <laugh> America has some interesting history, albeit not a huge chunk and if you live in a Democrat state, then I think that would be best. If I had to pick a place in America to live, it would be either Florida (been there on holiday quite a few times) or somewhere in New England, maybe New Hampshire? ;)

On the other hand, there's a high amount of gun crime, a poor health system, high unemployment, the second biggest political party are crazy, etc. Switzerland and the Netherlands the best places to live but I don't want to learn an entire new language!

Forgot about Canada. Would be good once you got used to the cold weather!
Possibly. Bit annoyed that Portsmouth is a city and Southampton, or South Hampton, is only a town. :p

Probably, but I think all immigrants coming to the UK should learn English and I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't learn Dutch.

I have had three wives, though not simultaneously. I would trade them all in for a decent horse.

The weddings were fun, and the offspring made it all worthwhile.

Choose the right bits and it's not any colder. The average temperature in Vancouver during the winter is around 1 degree Celsius cooler than London. Plus, with a short jaunt to the Lower East Side, all the heroin you can imagine!
