    Surely bollocks purely cause of the wages Brown and Obertan will be wanting, and I can't imagine either of them would want to step down a league.

    If we get two United players in exchange it will not be those two. It will be British youngsters who have never been around the first team really (Tom Cleverley and Chris Eagles types).

    Wes Brown would be a decent partner for Fonte at the back, but I doubt he'll want to come all this way and drop down a division.

    Obertan, on the other hand, is possibly the worst player I have ever seen at St.Mary's. Please God we don't get him to replace Oxo. It would be like replacing a hamper from Fortnum & Mason with a tin of beans from Lidl!!!

    When was the last time anyone actually did a swap deal? Ok, Kenny Jones and Stern John, but that's about it. They only actually happen on computer games.

    I think Obertan would need to drop a few more leagues to look any good, perhaps the Tyro league.

    Wes Brown's agent kicked up a stink a couple of years ago and SAF very publicly indeed, stated that £50k per week was the ceiling for a player "of his type" and that if he thought he could get more elsewhere he should go and take it. Can you really imagine us shelling out that kind of dough? That is Michael Mouse journalism of the very highest order!

    I tend to agree. I read nothing but pure speculation in that article.

    If Chamberlain does leave I think we would be better just taking cash so NA is able to buy the right players to strengthen the squad.

    Look the football news boys imaginations are running riot where Chamberlains concerned but Cortese is no Lowe and i am sure he will do his best for us moving ahead.And as he always tells us the only true info is via the clubs web site anything else is gossip . I feel however that any business we do will be shrewd and calculated we are now in good hands
