One genuine worry I do have for our national side is I look at Scotland, Wales Northern Ireland and am in little doubt, none of them will very again qualify for a major championship. I think we've now joined them. I think the issue of having no one except the Everton lads playing at the top level is killing us. We're having to patch together a team from championship and league 1 same as the countries I've mentioned. To a lesser degree England is struggling too given the tops sides comprising mainly foreigners. Solution anyone?

Goes back to basics mate,I live in spain,and see spanish kids train,on concrete or pressed sand like the tennis courts. Hoof ball doesn't work,you have to play it on the deck. I remember playing in england as a kid,sloped pitches,puddles etc.you couldn't pass the ball even if you wanted to. Back to basics on quality pitches. Surely if every prem club discovered a 'gem' their would be 20 class players
