Are united ACTUALLY in Decline This time?

As I've replied using your quote then I suppose that I must be addressing you. However, when I wrote the second line in my last post I was addressing saint and employing a comic device - I think!

Now as I began with an absolute in my original post but then qualified that certainty in the second sentence there is an obvious limit to the thought - hence the debate with saint. But what the **** it's Friday!!!!!

 

I think he means "perhaps" would have been more appropriate than "maybe".

On initial viewing it does seem that teams aren't scared to attack them like they were under Ferguson which will go 2 ways in the long run - open them up more for United to cut through them, or show their weaknesses in midfield/defence.

At WB it was the later, but need to see how it pans out over the course of the season.

Will United finish in top 4 this season, more than probably. Will they win the title, I don't think so. But to win it in his first season when there are 2 squads which have more quality in them would be a massive achievement for Moyes, one which a lot of United fans probably don't think will happen.

In all honesty if we win it or not we will still be ****ing miles behind clubs like Bayern.

English football has fallen so far away its insane. Just a few years ago only Barcelona could claim to be better than 2 or 3 English clubs and the rest of Europe was inferior.

Does that mean United and English football has declined as a whole? Not really, its just we havent progressed like the rest of Europe.
