.......... and people who have followed Sunderland for decades but never seen any trouble. How the hell do they manage that then?
They can't be going to games fella cause I've seen trouble in the ground many times. Usually away fans in the home ends (cough cough Boro).
I've been to many an away game where trouble was unavoidable ......... anyone who's been to Bristol, London, Manchester, etc has either seen trouble, been involved or run away. The worst bother I had was in the lower leagues at places like Burnley, Shrewsbury, Chesterfield, Mansfield etc.
My very first away game was at Barnsley (**** hole) and there was hell on. Didn't take me long to experience it did it? Only a little nipper anrl.
I'm in denial mate TBH, I've rarely caused trouble although I'm not blameless ...... more 'encouraged trouble' if truth be told. If inciting opposition supporters to attack, so I could 'defend' mesel, climbing floodlight pylons to hurl insults and antagonising the police is 'causing trouble' them I'm guilty as charged.
I've only got into punch-ups to save my arse when it all kicked off TBH. Never wanted it, but 25 years ago you tended to get it anyway! I did get kicked out of Stamford Bridge for flicking a 'V' at the ref, which was probably the most pathetic police overreaction I ever saw.
Who are you, the head of the Swansea tourist board or a self-elected spokesman for some group of supporters?
WOW!!! That's very macho of you, you must be a reet hardcase, eh? You do realise kids will be at the games and you should be setting an example, don't you? Idiot.
This was the olden days, Sid knows exactly what I'm talking about as we know each other from old. This is what happens when you shove your nose into conversations you're not involved in.
It's my thread, I'll speak to who I like and I like Sid ....... it's a public chat forum after all, as someone pointed out. You're talking about setting an example when it should be obvious I'm talking about the past. Why not stick to those subjects you know something about, then we'd never see you again
Never went looking for trouble and only ever got in bother at Leeds, Leicester, Derby, Burnley, Boro, Man U, Ipswich, Notts C & F. Not bad eh. Three of them resulting in fines. Not proud but when ya young(ish) and daft and had a few bob in your pocket you went for the game, a few pints and a laugh. If you were confronted running was not an option.
Once got battered outside of woollies in Blackpool after me and my mate got split up from the 'pack' and chased through town by about 40 of their mob. We tried to seek sanctuary in woollies but the ****ing ****er of a shop manager threw us to the beying crowd eagerly waiting outside. ****ing never stood a chance, got a right pasting we did. Bastards.
That's really really weird ........ we escaped into Woolworths in Blackpool!!!!!!!!!!! Once at Luton we met a mate, from Shotton, on his way back up towards the ground. He'd been attacked by a gang and had popped into B&Q to buy a hatchet and go looking for them. We left him to it, he was ****ing crackers and wouldn't have appreciated any help.
