Wouldn't harm England if somebody could hold the ball up.

He's doing his best - he's let one in against Ukraine - just needs a clean sheet against England (which really doesn't seem that unlikey)

Really tight angle with keeper in the right place. Yes, he should have hit the target. Could have seen Sturridge getting the rebound

England are getting loads of set pieces that Lambert would be a threat on. 10 corners already according to the stats. We also know Lambert would drop deep and play others in, which Sturridge doesn't do. Even if Sturridge scores or gets an assist in the second half I still feel that Lambert would been a better option, and contributed more, had he started. Roy better give Lambert at least 20 minutes if it's still 0-0.

Well if he was really 'never going to score from that angle', then yes he should obviously can blame it him for not squaring it haha. Personally I thought he took the right decision by shooting but should have scored, the angle was tough but the keeper was on the ground as he was running on to it.

Chiles asks Walcott if he thinks "his man" Wilshere could make the difference. Roy Keane has the last word saying "Rickie Lambert. He could have a big say..."

Unless one of the strikers gets injured, Montenegro score or Hodgson rests one of the strikers.

Well I can see it now holding onto a 1-0 lead only for them to equalise in injury time!

Kyle Walker gets a yellow card. He now cannot play against Poland. Glen Johnson is out, so it will be one of Smalling or Jones.

    Stupid foul from Walker.

I don't mind Rooney scoring. I wouldn't have been happy at all had Sturridge scored it!
