Not seen a lot of chatter about this, and I don't think there's been a thread on it. I could be wrong.

Bit surprised considering the importance of this and the Poland game.

    We'll finish the job IMO.

Yeah, i agree with you. I don't know what to expect from Montenegro, in terms of how tight they'll make the game, seems they've had a bit of trouble with match fixing and injuries.

    I reckon we'll win both.

Poland will be tricky if the likes of Błaszczykowski and Lewandowski turn up in the right frame of mind.

Predictions England 2-0 tonight and 2-1 v Poland.

I think it would be good for English football if we finished 2nd in the group and went to the world cup via the play offs, give the over confident and over hyped squad and manager a much needed rocket up the ar5e

5-0. It's gonna be one of those games.

Then tonight, my prediction is 3-0, could be a toughie imo.

I don't get why people say this.

Everyone says this squad is average and i've never heard anyone call Hodgson anything other than good. You make it sound like we big ourselves up, we don't, no-ones predicted we will win it or do even remotely well so why do we need a rocket up the arse?

I see Cleverley is ruled out of both games. I wonder if a replacement will be called up?

Am I the only one who doesn't give a ****?

Not qualifying might give English football the kick up the arse it desperately needs. Until this happens, I refuse to watch those overpaid mercenaries get beat by the likes of Poland and Montenegro.

We've not qualified before and it did us no good, I'd rather not have a summer of no football.

Didn't we all say that about Euro 2008?

If our next qualifying group was Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Andorra, San Marino and Gibraltar I'd still have no faith in Hodgson getting us safely through. His tactics make Nigel P look like Pep Guardiola. Total Football it ain't.

I don't really give a **** these days. The national side is now becoming just another vehicle for people to make money out of proving how liberal and multicultural they are (Gordon Taylor, Greg Dyke, etc). Isn't it wonderful that Zaha and Berahino escaped squalor and poverty in Africa to make a living in English football? Er, no. Look at the coaching situation - how many qualified coaches/managers are there? Pitifully few. But what have they done to encourage people? Sod all. Instead they're only concerned about how we need more black faces on the coaching staff, as if there aren't already enough.

England will win both game. Montenegro have injury problems which helps.

Doubt it. No need the rest can cover for the worst player in the squad.........................surely ?

Leave Tom Hudds. to get his feet up and rest.

You will have a summer of football regardless of England being there or not.

I know watching England is sometimes a very dull exercise, but that's because the majority of televised games are either friendlies or qualifiers in a far flung corner of Europe against a nation with a population about the same, or lower than, Hull.

These 2 games mean something, for a change, so I expect to see a higher standard of football.

I see the England squad as quite 'cosy' a lot of the players are assured of places based on who they play for and not how they play, i.e. Lambert the only outfield player not playing for Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool or Manc team. I see Hodgson as a dull play it safe manager and think finishing second and qualifying through the play offs may hopefully force Hodgson to rethink his approach to style of play and hopefully squad selection. Whilst no one is saying we'll win it now, if we qualify top of the group, come next summer the nation will be swept away in a tide of blinded passion and people will start talking about our 4-5 world class players.....mark my words!!
