Fair play to you lads, I envy the excitement you feel every tournament. Me and my damn principles. I'm just glad the Sunderland is unconditional to me.

 

There's not much excitement Bri - more a "don't make us look bad" attitude!

But come the next game, there I am again with all my mates down the local, hoping for a good performance at least! Like moths to a flame!

 

Haven't you suffered enough with Sunderland?

Sunderland IS unconditional to me as well Bri....But I am a proud Englishman and if my country is playing tiddlywinks I was us to win.
Sunderland is my true love...England is my mistress....both have a great ability to pi55 me off

Don't get me wrong lads... No-one gets more 'passionate' and 'excitable' during England games (one my reasons to stop going) than me.
During World Cups and Euros I'm always in an England shirt... And moaning at all the decisions that are 'again' going to stop us winning the trophy!
My problem is with the current crop of players.. Can any of you honestly say you'd want John Terry held in the same regard as Bobby Moore... Or Ashley Cole in the same sentence as Geoff Hurst.
Hurst, Charlton, Moore, Stiles etc are legends who will never be forgotten (and rightly so)... I 'personally' don't want the current prima donnas held in the same breathe!
Hopefully the new breed of exciting youngsters will do England proud and be written about for the right reasons!

 

spot on Home and Away..couldn't agree more. But my support of England is regardless of the to55ers who currently play or administer the national game..I am an Englishmen, and as such I will always watch and support. Like you, I hope the next crop of players have pride in the country and the shirt...but i'm not holding my breath

I have almost given up caring about England...I do not expect anything from them I did see that both Lampard and Gerrard are in the same team...I thought after about 50 tries at this we all knew that together...they do not work.
