Well, I can see he was trying to be funny. Just came across as somebody taking the piss out of north east football.
What it tickled me is that it could almost be true. Sorry to say but to the rest of the country North East Football is a joke. May as well laugh about it otherwise it'll drive you mad, life's just too short IMO.

See my quoted comment fella. Journos have just spent the last 6 months completely dismantling our clubs reputation to get at one man to sell their papers and now they want to banter with us? Why don't I just slander this Journos family and them take him out for a pint and a laugh? I've more self respect. If that article came from a fan then fair enough, we have the right to laugh at ourselves. But them bastards can piss off as far as I'm concerned. The whole profession. I'm going to be a selfish lover regarding the press and use them for my own ends. If that makes me some kind of hypocrite then sobeit, I'm just using them like they use us.
