More complete ignorance. They both played together when fit/not banned. Dear god you are an embarrassment.
Everyone knows that we're relaxed about things on this thread, but no personal abuse or insults, please.
Personally I'd let them go PnP - I'm loving being called stupid by someone who refers to "Studge". How old is he FFS?
It's got to be said, that I'd love a front line like 'Pool's. Ours is classless by comparison. There. I've said it.
Lol. Ignorance indeed. When they were both fit last season Suarez played from the left wing. Get your facts right before accusing someone of being ignorant, you fool.
That statement just seemed really wrong for some reason. Like the Mayans were right or something. Ragnarok is upon us (PS, Im fully aware that ragnarok is not a Mayan term.)
"Liverpool owner John W Henry believes the return of Kenny Dalglish as a non-executive director will help the club become the dominant force in English football once again." (Source: Liverpool Echo)
It's the "become the dominant force in English football once again" that I balked at. If the Yank had said "become a dominant force" I wouldn't have made anything of it, but to say "the dominant force" renders him indistinct from the hundreds of thousand of delusional Mousers (and the several million more plastic Mousers) who chime in with "this year will be our year" every single season.
Also... Exactly how does a bumbling old fool, completely out of touch with the modern game, who (when he had the chance to manage the team) lead 'Pool to some of the darkest days in its entire history stand any chance of helping the club become anything, let alone "the dominant force in English football"? This is nothing more than silly talk, vacuous and banal. It's the equivalent of the fans of, say, Rochdale singing "it's just like watching Brazil" merely because their team has managed to score a scrappy goal against Torquay.
Have to agree 100%. If he wasn't a club legend he'd be nowhere near that club. We can only hope he gets a say in transfers again and Liverpool can go back to spending/wasting 20 to 30 million on average English players.
The simple fact is that as they both played in the same team neither was keeping the other out the team. It's so simple a 5yr old could get it. (I see ignoring me lasted less than 24hrs)
Sturridge was starting on the bench a fair few times actually - although mainly due to fitness. They really haven't played much together.
Yet with more success in the modern English game than AVB has so far, arguably. Nah, he'll just be there to send to fan groups, charity events, fundraisers, dinners etc. He's there to help the club identify with the fans. No need to go mad about it.
How does helping the club identify with the fans help the club become the dominant force in English football again? Quite honestly the only person who seems to have gone mad about this is Mr Henry himself.
