I had an Evel Knievel toy motorbike when I was a kid but it was ****ing ****e. It was supposed to do tricks like jump over things by the aid of a ramp but all that ever happened was that it travelled two feet then fell over. Subbuteo was the best though
Lego is the ultimate toy for wee boys. It allows kids' imagination to run riot. Add creativity to that, and it can lead to years of unbridled fun and enjoyment. Unlike these daft ****ing toys that can only be ONE thing. Its all about 'transmutability' - the capacity of a toy to be more than one thing. Read: "Toys as Popular Culture" by Dr Dan Fleming (I did some research for that book) PlayStations, XBox, DS, GameBoy? Pfft. In 20 year time kids are gonna be incapable of coherent communication.
You lot can count yourselves lucky Back in my day all I had was a few marbles and if I was lucky got to 'play' with my sisters dolls
