Having, allegedly, almost gone to Juventus in January, Swiss papers are reporting that the Italian club have renewed their interest in Pajtim Kasami.

"It’s reported Juventus are targeting Fulham midfielder Patjim Kasami, bringing him back to Serie A in January. The Swiss Under-21 international would be returning to Italy, having played for Palermo in 2010-11.

According to Infoticker in Switzerland, Kasami has been targeted by the Bianconeri for the January transfer window.

His agent is Mino Raiola, who often works with Serie A clubs and is familiar with Juventus."

And to confirm his resurgence this year Pajtim has been called up to the main Swiss squad for this week's World Cup qualifiers. He will of course be joining Big Phill and hopefully both will get a chance to shine away to Albania on Friday and at home to Slovenia next Tuesday.

We'll swoop him for Arturo Vidal

Looks like someone nicked the family silver to make the coat hangers.
Is that the local Wimpey Bar ?

I can't be bothered to roam around for the posts, but I'm pretty sure myself and Bidley were the only posters who had faith in Pajtim to come through the ranks and become the player we thought he might become. It's not exaggerating to say he's been by far our best player so far this season, incredible when you consider he's been playing out of position most of the time. Imagine, if he hadn't have missed that penalty, he could be a year or two further along in his progression.

to be honest i get the impression from him that he needs tough love, there's a fire in his belly that i love. So in hindsight jol has dealt with him well.

Yep, I've certainly been tooting that horn for a while, and I have to admit I was beginning to waver until recently!

Out of interest, you say he's been playing out of position - what is 'his' position? I remember this being a point of debate a couple of years ago.

Really pleased for him. He has got his head down and worked hard so deserves his run in the team. From his first spell a while ago he used to play on the right but always seemed to appear on the left or in the middle. For me he was not disciplined enough, a few loan moves and seems to have matured a bit. He needs to be played in the middle behind a striker, likes t be involved in the game and is a bit lost on the wing. His running and determination could be really useful when berbatov is up front. Let's hope he continues to grow and we can tie him down to a new contract

I would say he's best in the CAM role, but is he going to displace Ruiz permanently? I doubt it.
