I think he's got a point about the England team and the FA. There's too much finger pointing and head scratching from them when we don't do anything at a major tournament, but they don't do anything about it, like the Germans did in 2002. They don't question the influx of foreigners (even crap ones) which might be harming performances. Instead, they say it's a good thing for the game, rather than make it easier for English/ British lads to get ahead in our own league. Furthermore, they rattle on about the Premier League being the best in the world (the usual spiel) and the pundits, journos and spectators swallow it. The same goes for coaches by the way. I'm not on anti foreigner rant.
Interesting watching the vid. Engaging character. Think he's spot on about the young kids thinking they've made it when they've done **** all.
These two also have a vested interest in the status quo (won't shake it up in case they lose their fantastic 'contacts').
The "french" accent he was talking about. Funny if you haven't seen it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBgKudlYhJE
I absolutely hate the guy, and would love to punch him between the eyes if I had the chance, but he does, unfortunately make a valid point (just in a rather Barton-esque twatish way).
This. Also everybody goes on about foreign players in the prem, which doesn't help but it wouldn't be as bad if English players played in foreign leagues.
If he wasn't such an utter **** I might take notice every now and then. Reading that, the lad does say some things that make perfect sense. The DM really have not done him any favors with the title either, lets be honest. Most people judge an article based on the title. Going slightly off topic - would anyone here have him in the City squad if he 'calmed down' a bit, so to speak? I would, he's a decent footballer, it's his attitude that spoils him.
