I didn't read the article but agree with the title You could any word in front of '****' and it would be a very valid point about the gaping ****...
Ronaldo is a muppet and tbh so are the Portuguese. Teams play so much more games, and importantly there are far more ****e teams than back then, scoring records will always be broken
honestly I read the article and i didn't find a thing in it a problem. I also think ronaldo is a scumbag who deserves every bit of bad luck coming and i for one hope messi keeps going to prevent this guy ever getting a personal award or medal in his Madrid career.... that said i don't see the comments made being in any way insulting to eusebio.
I have to agree with mito. I don't waste any love on Ronaldo either, but I think too much is being read into his comments here. Smugness exudes from his every pore, and is clear in everything he says, but despite his innate inflated ego, I don't think there was any real disparagement meant towards Eusebio. Not the way I read it anyway.
He's a great footballer. Being a star in your field can take you one of two ways: either you can recognise that you're just lucky to be made that way and you keep your feet on the ground, or you can believe you are somehow a superior human being and become a vile, arrogant twat. Cris appears to have gone for the latter option.
fair enough, thats what you see. i just thought that it emant that as eusebio dropped down the list no matter what he'd always be one of portugal's greats but thats just what i took out of it.
I agree that it's a bit of a non-story, but I suppose a bit of Ronnie-bashing does no harm. It's not as though we'd make a scratch on his armour-plated ego.
C.Ronaldo is a twat but the title doesn't do the article justice. The article does also point out that despite CR beating Eusebio's goal tally, he's played 106 games compared to the 64 Eusebio played. #nocontest
