see your point brisbane, what they going to do send you to live in a penal colony for the rest of your life.
I don't think it matters what names are used, it is the context in how it is said. I have been called a bubble countless times, with no offence meant, but you call me a dirty bubble, then that changes it all. I think Chris Rock typifies what i'm trying to say; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3PJF0YE-x4 (ps - please do not view if you are under 18)
Geeze what the **** is going on here i call every ****er by some slang name or other I live in Italy place is full of eyeties, not offensive is it ? So matey here is a bubble all my Greek mates are known as bubbles most of my mates here i call Tarts (cheers delboy) and iv been called some names in my time but i dont go around asking for people to be arrested do i Nothing wrong with bubbles m8 except the vermin type
I do not find eyetie or wop offensive, quite proud of my roots............ but lets read between the lines of these police instigated (attempted) prosecutions and see where it takes us..... police want to acquire even more powers.....and seem to be in the mood to usurp parliament and define what is offensive...the chanting of the word COULD lead to a prosecution...... excuse me but it is either legal to do so.....then no case to answer or it is illegal...and there is no need to inform the world that this is the case... if the police get their way in these 'fishing expedition' prosecutions, then I can clearly see the day when there will be a spate of prosecutions for calling certain people PIGS.................
With the dregs of the world landing daily on our doorstep, Chesh, sometimes I would love to have a nice quiet penal colony to retire to..............except Leeds of course.
Haha, maybe I'm next as I said I liked it. Fecking PC tree huggers, wouldn't surprise me if some do gooder reported you
