Or realism ? Take a gander at this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24454108 Well, hopefully Gus continues on his 44%win ratio ........ that will mean 13 (13.64) wins out of the remaining 31 games, amassing 39 points without draws. That'll do me Gus, cheers
Saw that earlier and just smiled, again the stats merchants want to come out and play, surprised it was the BBC though.. Maybe post it on the Hull board though and then they might realise it was the 1st cog to getting rid of Mr. Bruce..
I know this isn't strictly correct but in his Brighton days he played a total of 194 games, now some would have been cup games and not all league games. But lets say 194 games at 3 points per game is a total of 582 points available, he won 86 games and drew 59, that would have given him a points total of 317, or 56.4%. Now that sounds better doesn't it? So, with 31 games left and a points per game of 56.4 =52 points. **** me lads, we'll qualify for Europe.
They were ****ing murder on the old BBC 606 the last time they came up. Forever lecturing us about how to properly run a club, how they would definitely stay up and how they were debt free. They went down owing millions!
Look back through the threads since Paolo left. They're at it again. Spent all afternoon picking one to bits the other day. The amount of wums on their board must be intolerable for their decent posters.
How fine that would be !! But our target should be a minimum of 10 points by Christmas from 18 games. That is the points WBA had in 04/05 during the "Great Escape" with a GD of -21........... until then there is always hope. It can be done, its early doors yet.
Slip of the pen mate but you get what I meant? Personally don't believe in all these stats & records, we have a good squad more than capable of a finishing well above the drop zone, if Gus can motivate them we'll be fine. Forget what the stats people say.
Talking of the old BBC 606, can you remember that tool from Cardiff.....CityBlue or something like that, what a kernt he was.
I hate generalising groups of people into categories, but every Hull fan I have ever had the displeasure to meet has been a prick..
It's a good job you're not generalising because I know a Hull fan and he's not a prick, he's a complete and utter t*at.
