Think I'm going to stop taking any notice of when they tell you a player is Doubtful. I seem to change them, then they play.
This week they had Ramsey as being Doubtful so I changed him from being captain, what happens Ramsey plays and get 13 points,
and Baines who I made captain gets 0 points (so double 0 points = zero <doh>).

It depends on the % when is says doubtful 75% chance of playing they are always fit and always play! when it says doubtful 50% chance of playing it actually means 75% chance as I find they normally play but a few are injured.

The Steve Sidwell Shield - Semi Finals
Results:

We're nearing the end now and the biggest point of note this week was an extraordinary performance from It's A Taarabt! (a performance far outstripping the team's namesake). Featuring a combination of the walking booking that is Ivanovic combined with the big hitters of Lukaku and Sturridge, Legen- waitforit - dary were swept away. The other semi final saw a more closely fought affair, as Lambert & Weimann helped SBM Legion see off the defending champions in Ciall Nonnolly's XI.

SBM Legion & It's A Taarabt! (being Super Brian McBride and Bandit) have both played the competition well in overturning early round deficits through indiscipline and are good representatives of what the Sidwell Shield embodies - aggression, sheer bloody mindedness and ginger hair. Okay, maybe not the last one. Every week is a shoot out; now is the time to stack up on Ivanovic & Barkley, and hope for some well placed transgressions.

The final will take place this weekend. Again, for the avoidance of doubt, the final is:

SBM Legion v It's A Taarabt!

Good luck to both teams - you can only hope to channel your inner Pulis this week and claim that first silverware of the season.

Hello fellow fans,

Thought I'd hook up before the weekend games. Mightily pleased to have jumped ship from that other lot and the progress of my new team. Sending them on a fishing trip today.

My early wildcard seems to be a bit of a masterstroke, if I do say so myself!

The problem with fantasy football is that everyone is basically selecting the same players at this stage, I am in a league with a few friends and they have all now transferred in Lukaku/Ramsey/Sturridge etc, and all our captaincy choices are the same, so you stand little to no chance is getting the better of them when your team is basically the same! Spuds screwed me last week with a woeful 3-0 defeat to the Spam, contemplating taking Eriksen out, who has been off the boil lately.

A bit of good news and extra Fantasy Football motivation courtesy of our friends at Marathonbet....

.....
Thanks for your message.

As you could imagine, we're inundated with requests like this for shirts, tickets and free bets. However, on this occasion I am sure we could perhaps sponsor a cup and donate some prizes for winners of the fantasy league.

At Marathonbet, we're 100% behind dedicated sports fans - forums and fantasy leagues are what it is all about as far as we are concerned. Plus, we're always keen to help Fulham fans out (although it just isn't feasible to accommodate everybody's wishes).

I am out of the office today, but when I'm back in tomorrow I'll talk to the guys over at Fulham and we'll see what we can offer.

Thanks again for your message, and please remember that this is a special case!

Kindest regards,
.....

Well done, Bobby. Even if it doesn't come to anything, it was worth a punt.

I may still be languishing in mid-table, but unless I'm mistaken, I'm top scorer in our league this week. After a month of carefully planned rebuilding, I'm back and on the way up.

After our start to the season it's nice to get some good news! All fantasy praise should be directed to Surlyc....he spent ages setting the league up, compiling odds and organising Cups. I barely spent 2mins sending a tweet and email!

Congrats on your revival Captain. I thought I'd be shooting up the table after the weekends fixtures as I had Suarez as my captain....but it looks like everyman and his dog also did!

The chap at Marathonbet is quality and appreciates fans like us, so I'm hopeful we'll have a few prizes this year. I suggested we name a Cup after them - the end-of-season prize awarded to whoever scores the highest total in a gameweek. If we go ahead with it, you could be in with a shout!

We'll have to get Surelyc to confirm what cups we currently have then allocate prizes accordingly.

Fair point on Surly's excellent work, Bobby. I'll second that.

I'll have to do better than this week to get the prize for highest weekly score of the season, something tells me that 75pts won't cut it over a whole season. Then again, it was an excuse to show off that I scored 75pts this week. Did I mention that? When you're making a worse job of defending a title than David Moyes, you have to clutch at whatever straws come your way!

We're definitely getting some sort of prizes, so don't give up on your fantasy teams just yet!

"As you could probably imagine, we’ve been extremely busy this end (especially with our app coming out).

But I have not forgot about you guys. We can get definitely sort some prizes out, how soon do you need things?"

Maybe the players will donate something. Should we draw up a wishlist?

Don't forget about your fantasy teams, I've got a feeling a few lucky winners could get some decent prizes!

Looking at the top of the table, it seems every man and his dog had Suarez as Captain tonight, there will be some mega-scores this Gameweek!

Surly, Captain and anyone else in the know.....

Any idea what cups and prizes we're running? My starter for 10....

League Winner - big prize
League Runner-up - medium prize
League 2nd Runner - small prize
Steve Sidwell Cup - medium prize
Marathonbet award (highest gameweek recorded score) - medium prize

Have I left anything out? Are the prize weightings to cups balanced?

Hopefully I'll have confirmed prizes soon. Just to whet your appetites - Marathonbet have a luxury box and gave away a pair of tickets for tonight's match vs Spurs on a Facebook giveaway (no idea if that wil be a prize).

I, of course, do not even have Suarez let alone have him as captain.

I've been insanely busy of late as I try to walk through an HMRC enquiry at work, but I'll confirm the rules and set up for the Cottage Cup shortly. In terms of prizes, it definitely depends on how many prizes we have. I am hoping to get two more cup competitions in this season.

Welcome back Surlyc! Good luck with the taxman...sounds like you're earning your wage!

The chap at Marathonbet has made an exception (they get loads of requests for freebies) and kindly agreed to donate some prizes to our league. I'm hoping to get 5 (that might be pushing it) prizes:

League Winner
Runner-up
Steve Sidwell Shield
Cottage Cup
Marathonbet Trophy (can be your third cup).

If we only get 4 prizes we'll drop the runner-up prize. Let me know if this sounds about right. And let me know if you need any help with anything (fantasy football related not HMRC)! I'd imagine this can get quite time consuming.
