I am interested in seeing what coutinho might do in exactly that type of system. Would he be able to slot into a 3 or would he drift forward too much. He's got the vision and passing. can he close down and make the tackles too. Is it too deep for him to start playing when we get the ball back or would he find more space? i don't know. We could just drop moses and keep coutinho up front with sturridge and suarez either. I don't know. that'd be 4-3-3. If we tried to play 4-2-3-1 then gerrard got to stay back IMO. but whoever is the no 10 he's got to come back and fill in as well. Rafa's 4-2-3-1 ended up 4-5-1 when defending. if suarez and coutinho and moses were the line or 3 then all 3 need to drop in. I could even see that happening given time with it.

I fancy a right back and central midfielder for sure. If real do turn up in desperation for suarez and we get 60mil i can see us not buying a forward to replace til may though.
