Still on the payroll, but not fit / talented enough to make the first team squad. Onto other players, have I missed communication of an injury or operation that accounts for SWP's recent absence from the match day squad? Or is it just down to form? Answers on a postcard, please!
I am sure we will see both get some time as the games and injuries stack up...but as they are clearly not in 1st team plans, wouldn't be surprised if they went in January. Too good to sit in oblivion imo.
Poor old Luke Young's injury nightmare is continuing.... http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/qpr/qpr_defender_s_injury_nightmare_continues_1_2852062
Samba played today for the EDS team and was taken off(he always is!) after about an hour. We then scored what proved to be the winner (3-2 v Cardiff).Hitcock got another 2-he really deserves another first-team runout
He and his medical team are heroes in my book. They have strung this out for a season and a half without him having to call it a day, retire and pick up the insurance money at any point. I wonder why?
Heard they got married & then joined the French Foreign Legion Or at least may as well have for all the use they are.
Are we still looking for a slag even when we are winning ... Tune in your minds lads That was that This is this This is This
Be fair Dave, I've been having a go at bloody Luke Young since long before we started winning. 3 years pay for six months work, lucky boy (sorry man, he's 34). Diakite I am genuinely sorry for, he has all the makings of a top class player, something is going wrong he needs a change of scenery.
The thing is with Diakite he certainly could do a job in this league. Big dissapointment last season and is attitude must stink. Its a shame we are paying him wages, he has ability as we all witnessed when he was on loan and he is nowhere near the first team in the championship. Why we havent terminated youngs contract i really don't know.
Latest on Diakite:- QUOTE 08/10/2013 By West London Sport QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he is reluctant to send Samba Diakite out on loan and believes the midfielder could yet have a role to play this season. Diakite has made only one league appearance for Rangers in 2013 and the club looked to offload him during the summer. Redknapp still feels the 24-year-old may move on in January but is not keen for him to leave on loan despite having plenty of midfield options. “He could, possibly [leave], if someone wants to take him,” said Redknapp. “I’m not mad about loaning him out, because we need a squad here. He could be important to us still. “He’s here training but hasn’t got into the side. He will get his opportunity though I’m sure. “He’s been working hard and has shown a good attitude this year, so it’s up to him.UNQUOTE I'd have him in the side quick if he can re-find the form he showed in the first season with us
