JS scored both goals on Monday nights U21 game v Stoke, scoring the winner in the last min at the KPS. I´d like to see him getting a more regular spot in the 1st team. I think he could be our Dean Sturrige (if played up front)

A good win for the U21´s, I used to like going to these games, a cheap night out under flood lights. Oh when I remember my youth.

Any way well done the U21´s & JS.

I'd like to see him up front more, seems like he wants to play there and proved towards the end of last season he can do a job.

    Do you mean Daniel Sturridge?

Nothing wrong if you meant his uncle Dean, he was useful for us - I remember him scoring a back heel against Derby in 2000/2001 season!

IMO Schlupp will never cut it as a striker.

Wood, Nugent, Vardy and maybe even Waghorn are ahead of him in the pecking order

Thing is Proud - when he came back from Man United when we were desperate last season he scored a brace - first at Derby from full-back and then when tried up front in the following games ... we'll never know unless we give him a run of games ... not many players have scored a hat-trick for us on first team debut - even if it was in the Capital One cup ...

Me personally I would like to see Schlupp and Dyer both start down the wings for a game. So how that works out

I think Schlupp isnt physically ready to be a striker at the minute.

    But its all about opinions

Unfortumately both play on the left so would be hard to start them both.

If you played 4-4-2 both could be accomodated with dyer left midfield & Schlupp - Left back.

I don't see why we can't be nurturing Schlupp as a left winger, an apprentice to Dyer. He's got a lot of the same capabilities, though Schlupp is stronger and Dyer quicker. I agree I don't think he'll ever be prolific as a striker, but it seems such a waste to have his obvious attacking capabilities nullified at left back.

From what I've seen, Schlupp looks pretty nifty. Maybe he's just putting himself in the shop window so you can get some £££'s for him in January or the Summer.

Schlupp has scored bags full of goals through all levels of the junior ranks playing as a striker ... hard to argue with his stats so far ... deserves an opportunity up front IMHO ...
