he apparently had nowt to do with that it was other people at the club. got it from some brighton fans that it was the crack with everton
depends if he beats the mags. we need a period of consistancy at the club and need to give him time to set things right. stability is the key and weve been through enough managers lately. hopefully this one is up to the job
That my friend cant happen. Whoever is the next boss has to have our full support for at least two years. We are a mess. It's going to take some fixing.
Exactly. Two years minimum whatever happens in May. We need stability more than anything (except maybe points on the board)
Aye! If the rumours are true and di fanti wanted gus in the first place but the brighton affair stopped it then he now has his man, correct to leave it till after liverpool and manure games for me, the place will be rocking for the arrival of that horrible lot! Haway Gus! Show us what you've got
Well ssn have started early, inexperienced manager who's last game in charge was a defeat to palace, showing their goal, negativity from the off! Did we expect anything else, not according to this thread
Aye I suppose we should be immune to it by now eh? doesn't stop the lazy ****ers writing their ****e though does it? anything to sell a paper. I'm expecting a full on assault on Ellis Short by the press, probably making him out to be some sort of assassin but i'm sure he won't be losing any sleep over it either. Bring on Swansea and the Scum, can't wait to get home now.
There's already a lot of negative stuff around about Poyet - Just read a Brighton board that said they reckon he'll be sacked before the end of the season as we get relegated. I hope to god that, if we do get relegated (a likely proposition but not a definite one) that we stick with the manager. We're already in deep **** and it certainly isn't his fault and I don't want to end up being one of those teams that sack their manager every season because of a lack of success. We've had no success for years so lets get some stability first and see what might grow from it.
^^^This History tells you that when SAFC have been relegated, they have mostly re-organised and bounced back stronger. Dont get me wrong - i dont want to see us go down but its not as bad as people say. I appreciate the PL is where the money is, but what is the point of just surviving every year ? New manager every 5 minutes. New "fly by night" players ? Its ****ing pointless really. Some of my best memories as a supporter have been outside the Top flight (like in 99 when we blitzed everyone and won the league) and all the excitement that came with it when we carried on the next season and finished 7th with essentially the same style of play and philosophy. I hope Gus does well, but if he doesnt lets just stick with him shall we ? Continuity desperately needed
