...is about to be announced, as Gus Poyet. I don't really rate him, so I see it as decent news for us.
Another risky appointment, I'm just glad they haven't gone for Pulis. As much as I hate the style of play he employs he'd have kept them up. As it stands I think they might be ****ed.
Utter nonsense ^^^^ this. Have a word with yourself. Poyet was doing a good job at Brighton and is highly regarded in the game. Then again you think that the likes of Titus Bramble and Matt Killgallon are good players. If it is, Poyet may well try and raid Brighton in January for the likes of Will Buckley and Liam Bridcutt for starters.
I think Poyet is a good manager. He has certainly done well wherever he has gone. That being said I think there are better options out there for Sunlan, particularly given whoever comes in is going to be really up against it.
Sunderlands next few PL fixtures are :- Swansea(a) - Newcastle(h) - Hull(a) - Man City(h) - Stoke(a) - Aston Villa(a) www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/sunderland/fixtures Hard to see when the next mackem point will come. Down by Christmas may well be well advanced by then as the squad really is poor..
I reckon they shouldve given Kevin Ball until the end of the season. He'd certainly unite the fans and has extensive coaching experience and all his qualifications.
Utter nonsense this Poyet is a class manager. Easily get them into the top ten, outsiders for a shot at Europe.
Outsiders? I think it's nailed on. Poyet will have them in contention for the league title IMO. Poyet did very well at Brighton and is very highly thought of within the game. As always TWT.
I think Lambrettaman and Tickles actually quite like each other, in a sort of Love / Hate way. You can make your own mind up as to which is which!!
I think the good think is, bar the Italians that have gone there, the rest of the players don't seem to be the type that will suit Poyet's style of play.
Joe Kinnear's job at Newcastle seems very part-time. Surely while he's up there he could work for Sun'land too, and take both of them down?
I'm just glad they've done it now and not the week before we play them. They have a decent squad so have a chance of staying up - in effect their league season is now one of 31 games.
Wherever he has gone? He has only ever managed at Brighton. He's never managed a Premier League team, Championship is the highest he has gone and failed to get Brighton promoted. I can't see how he is a good option for Sunderland unless they're preparing for next season already. How many of their new signings speak English? could be a communication problem within the team
