Exactly - the timing of SAF's retirement was perfect for the other cubs. I imagine all the top 5/6 teams are excited at the prospect of UTD not delivering like they once did. It's the cycle of change, it was bound to happen at some point - like it did to Liverpool 20+ years ago.
All clubs are ... But Not as excited as Scousers are at the prospect of United's demise: you are creaming yourself. Don't count your chickens before they have hatched though. United 2013 are a much bigger and better club than Liverpool were in 1991, when Heysel had destroyed the quality of English football and then Sky money came in to change everything
DL you better duck out of the way for a while now they are not going to be happy bunnies after this game
Currently 12.48am but worth it to watch the Arse hopefully drop points and Spurs lose! Yeah all going well thanks! Looking forward to getting back for a bit in December though!
The scary thing is West Ham have completely outplayed them and are well worth the 3 goal lead. AVB finally getting found out, no plan B and he's killed what has been their main weapon down the years - width. Goes to show what a week does in football. A week ago they were title contenders and and had a better squad than Chelsea.
Not too bad then, time to grab a pint afterwards. Glad its going well, it'll be December before you know it
Saturday not so great with the Mancs both winning and Liverpool but what a great sunday! Didn't look great with 5 minutes to go but with us then getting the win, Arsenal dropping 2 and Spurs battered at home - lovely end to the weekend! Special mention to Ravel's and Willian's goals - top draw. We definetely need to be more clinical though. It has already cost us a loss at Everton and this is going to be a very tight league.
Our result wasn't too bad in hindsight, I would have liked to beat WBA but they played extremely well and we played extremely poorly and still took home a point. Given that they'd destroyed the Mancs the week behind at Old Trafford I'd like to think of it as a point gained rather than two lost.
Way you've been playing I wouldn't have been suprised if you'd have won though. So I'm just happy we closed the gap this weekend. As it stands you've played 1 'top 7' club and that was at home, we've played 3 and all away from home so I'm pretty happy where we are ATM.
I know, too early to say who will be challenging for top honour this season. I think if we are still in the top places come December we can challenge.
Could genuinely be a 4, 5, 6 horse race. You and Liverpool have started well but I expect more points to be dropped when you play more of the 'top' sides, especially away. I still fancy City, they seem to have the most balanced/best quality first team - inconsistency is their downfall so far.
