As I said on the other Cairney thread, if they want Cairney permanently, We should ask for Rhodes at a cut down price in return.
Hopefully some deal will be attempted - especially with the family relations. However, whose to say that Blackburn will want to sell? They have wealthy, yet bonkers, owners and are doing well in the champ. If we sold Brady (for example) last January, there would have been uproar.
There would have been uproar if we sold Brady as soon as we bought him. I'd like to keep Cairney, he's obviously a fantastic talent and it looks he's finally starting to show it. He could be useful in our squad and any price he sells for will be minuscule when compared to his true value and how much he'll cost a premier league club in a year or so. However I wouldn't mind if it got us a decent deal for Rhodes, but that just won't happen, not in January, and in June his contract ends. Blackburn will sign him for around 300k est. in January, or extend his loan and take him for free in the summer. It's sad but the facts back it, when do we ever get good money for a player? And Steve Bruce is a ****ing idiot, he'll probably think shedding his 2k a week off the wage bill is good business.
How you can call Bruce an idiot is beyond me. He must be one of the most shrewd managers we have had. Him and NP have brought in some bargains during recent times.
Jack Hobbs sold for 500k - loony Alex Bruce in midfield against Watford - loony Connor Wickham bought for something like £8-10m - ****ing brainless Proschwitz for £2.6m - loony One of those maybe excused, but....
He can only speak to foreign clubs in January, I think he'd stay in England and I doubt he'd have interest from abroad.
You can do precisely that for every single manager in the history of football. Go on, why dont you try it for the man widely regarded as the best in British history? I'll start you off: Juan Sebastian Veron - lost £13m on his value in TWO seasons. The list really does go on....
Eh? How do you work that out? Anyone with 6 months left on their deal can speak to any other club. Cant they? Or am I wrong?!?!
Yeah that's what I always thought, unless there's been some strange rule change to emplyment law recently.
I always thought that English players could only speak to English clubs in the final month of their contract.
What a "****ing idiot" Ferguson is then... Bebe - 7.4 million, Taibi - 4.5 million, Bellion - 3.5 million, Fangzhou 3.5 million, Kleberson 6.5 million, veron 28 million, liam miller from celtic, Manucho, Zoran Tosic, Obertan 3 million, and never mind Zaha for 15 ****ing million. And Buttner is ****.
