Ashes don't rot. You probably don't realise, not being the brightest. Whistle smileys don't make crap posts any better, either.
Germany have been stealing players for years. Half there team where born in Poland. I think Ozil has Turkish in him. Australia and New Zealand have done the same in rugby. I'm not saying its right, but if other nations are doing it why not England?
This!! It's not right but it's becoming the norm, and lets face it if England get any ****ter we wont be able to attract/poach these youngsters. Our history won't attract people for ever. We are becoming the Liverpool FC of International football
I don't know why, he isn't eligible to play for England anyway. He can play for Albania (his preferred choice), Turkey, Belgium or Kosovo.
Didn't even know / care that she was cremated, but now you mention it I suppose it was a good way of acclimatising.
We have done the same for cricket and rugby union. Rugby league has all sorts of nationalities playing for other countries so they can scrape together 14 teams to make up a "world cup". Italy, France, Portugal and Spain have all had players born in other countries play for them, going right back to the days of Di Stefano. Then of course there is Ireland where a visit for a long weekend or watching some episodes of Father Ted seems to qualify you to play
Given your opinion that Thatcher deserves to rot in hell what do you think would be appropriate for really evil people like Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, the maniacs that have been in charge of North Korea, murderous psycopaths like Che Guvera, or Hitler?
I don't actually believe in heaven or hell, but if it did exist I'm sure she would be down there with that lot and Nixon, LBJ, Pinochet and a special seat reserved for Bush Jr.
Some of the best food and the best beer in Europe, some of the most laid back hospitable people on the Continent, Anglophiles? Nah, not enough perms, 'taches and shellsuits, you're right.....
Some talking head on MOTD Extra says he's eligible for 11 countries. Dad's from ex Yugoslavia, so eligible for all teams resulting from the break up of that country.
Don't have much of a sense of proportion bracketing the ones you mention with the mass murdering communists and Hitler,do you? Pinochet was only responsible for 30,000 deaths comapred to the millions of victims of the one I mentioned. Even Bush was only responsible for a relative handful of deaha in comparison. As for Nixon, I quote "Although Nixon initially escalated America's involvement in the Vietnam War, he subsequently ended U.S. involvement by 1973. Nixon's visit to the People's Republic of China in 1972 opened diplomatic relations between the two nations, and he initiated détente and the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with the Soviet Union the same year. Domestically, his administration generally embraced policies that transferred power from Washington to the states. Among other things, he launched initiatives to fight cancer and illegal drugs, imposed wage and price controls, enforced desegregation of Southern schools, implemented environmental reforms, and introduced legislation to reform healthcare and welfare. " which, again,is better ghan the ones I mentioned and not necessarily a reason for eternal damnation.
Quite agree. Great beer and beat chips going. A bowl of mussels and frites is a delight. As you said, very friendly towards anyone from our country. And some great cities. Compare the port of Antwerp with Hull as somewhere to spend a few days. Ghent and Brugge are other places well worth a visit. Boring? Far more life, especially late night life than places like Hull which are virtually deserted by midnight. They have bars which don't open in Brussels until 2 or 3 am so all the other bar and late night workers have somewhere to go when they finish and you can vet meals at that time. This country is the boring one in comparison.
I'm sorry but with a population like we have in England, we should at least be able to muster up an international team capable of challenging for honours. We shouldn't need to take players from another country, which is also a load of ****e.
Ozil was born in Germany to Turkish parents. So there is no way he qualifies as a player stolen as the country you are born in would always qualify you for that country. I assume that you are talking Podolski when it comes to Poland? He moved to Germany when he was 2 years old. Also his grandparents were all German. That is a reasonable qualification as well, hardly stealing a player. Myhill was eligible to play for Wales I think but he was not born there, he was born in California and moved when he was 1. So if you had no other way to play for another team but the country you were born in then Myhill would only have qualified for the US national team. If one wants to use the country you are born in as the only qualification then that is an argument that is reasonable. But Germany has not stolen any players.
One of the countless blessings we have in this great city P&O's ferry nightly ferry services to Rotterdam & Zeebrugge, and the off season 2 for 1 offers which in effect means return to Belgium for £40 per person. A must-do every winter.
Where do you get them offers? I tried to book up earlier this week for the end of October & it quoted me over £300.
