26 points from 10 games and people are still complaining. This is absolute nonsense.

Would these people be happier if we scored twice as many goals and had 12 points.

    What a complete joke.

Hows the saying go , if you have nothing good to say say nothing at all.

I always like the Talking Heads lyrics:

"You start a conversation you can't even finish it.
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything.
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?"

No-one's complaining about the points tally, but I for one would like us to play with more positivity and score more goals. Am I not allowed to say this?

Watching all our passing in midfield (and more worryingly in and near our own penalty area) was somewhat frustrating and I was urging them to move up the field. Must have been far more frustrating for Barnsley though, who had little possession and seemed to be unable to key together more than half a dozen passes at at time. Overall we must all surely be equally delighted and surprised as to both where we are in the league and at the standard of football our team are playing right now.

Not when we're unbeaten after ten games when two months ago we feared another relegation and Redknapp walking by now, no.

Edit- of course you are allowed to say it but you shouldn't be taken very seriously.

Who feared another relegation? That was just Redknapp propaganda. We have by far the best squad in this league and should just rip it up.

I certainly did with a squad full of players without bollocks for a year in this league. He's done a glorious job thus far and any criticism whatsoever is ridiculous at this point. Can you imagine Granero, Park and all the other wasters grinding out a 1-0 at Yeovil?

Not now Swords, this is not about Redknapp really. It's about freedom of speech.

We are improving steadily week by week. Harry and his staff have sorted our defensive problems and now we are slowly starting to keep the ball better. If our passing and ball retention continues to improve then more goals will surely come. With injuries to Hoilett and Philips, we haven't even had a chance to play our best 11 yet. Niko will continue to improve and goals will come.

I can see where you're coming from Stroller, some of our 'performances' have been workmanlike at best, but 26 from 10 is a dream start and on a par with 2010-11. The difference is we were scoring for fun then and not now, the league is, I believe, tougher this time and it's good to have such a haul of points in the bank. The acid test will be the second half of the season, and that is where I expect us to have the advantage in strength in depth. Whether it's 1-0 or 5-1 I'll be happy to see the threes mount up, we can look at the aesthetics once we're up...

Thing is in 2010/11 after 10 games the wheels did come of a little . Just 62 points from 36 games, not fantastc but was enough to win the league. Will be interesting this time round. We have a good side and will produce better displays ( and probably lose ) later in the season.

The crux of the matter is that if you don't conceed goals you gain points. We've done that with relevent ease. If that means we lack a bit going forward then so be it . 1-0's 2-0's and 0-0's will gain us promotion. Its so important for us as a club with the current state of affairs ( new ground and training facilities ) to gain promotion this year , if its ugly so be it.

We havent even started to play properly yet. Those so called better sides dont going to play so defensively against us so there is always a possibility to score more goals. Then these kind of threads will disappear.

Maybe mate, maybe. I wasn't able to be at this match and so will can not comment, but if I'm not entertained at any match I do go to, I absolutely reserve the right to complain.

The daft thing about all this is that all I, the OP and a few others are saying is that it was a good result but at times was over defensive and lacked imagination e.g. At one point some quick passing pulled their central 3 well out of position leaving a huge gaping hole of space that was quickly filled by rangers forwards, instead of breaking forward and exploiting the created opportunity we passed 2 or 3 sideways, then back and they regained their shape. There is no point playing like we do if you're not going to take advantage of waft it creates. HR actually said pretty much the same in his post match interview so I really don't get the crap aimed at perceived negative posters! You only have to look at our run in over the last 2 years to see I'm one of the eternal optimists! There's no harm looking to improve and seek more entertainment though!

But that's the point isn't it! We all said that scrapping wins in the beginning was great because we'd eventually start to click when Redknapp's training sessions bed in and the players get to know each other. And its starting to turn out that way. Its not as if the Manager doesn't know where we need to improve.

Why is everyone so bloody impatient? We're winning every week for God's sake!
