Totally 100% agree, back then we could have turned Parler into a better player than he already was BUT he would be very useful in all of those games we wish to have a quality central midfielder whilst resting others, injuries n so on, fk all fee and he wouldn't be getting huge wages either being a squad player. I think there are teams we play where someone like Parker would be very useful and lets face it stevie and gettin any younger or fitter.

Nolan, no thx, step in wrong direction. Parker is old but just s stopgap that wont cost us a lot and he is a good player.

Barton, time bomb waiting to explode, no fkn way are we signing him, yeah he has been playing well, but he has played well before and blew up, more than once!!!

I don't see why though; Coady, Suso, Shelvey are all youngsters and ready to play in midfield as much as Henderson. £20m is a bit steep for a squad player.

Those guys are still not quite ready and may never be, yes they show good potential but henderson is just that bit further in his development.

Think this also means that aqua man is defo not coming back.

I think Kenny is getting players to replace all of the foreign players in the squad in the future so when the likes of Maxi n co move on up comes a developed young Brit to take his place leaving the team mainly British as in glory years gone by, and in my view the best United side in 99 had how many brits and irish includding the manager? Last Liverpool great side had how many including manager? Look at the foreign sides that have done well in England, all short lived success, Arsenal Chelsea, needing a steady flow of imports to keep going and UNited have gone this route as did Liverpool and others, I thnk Kenny is on to something important alright, will be a great adventure in footy to see how it all pans out over the next couple of years:)

Mainly brits n irish with the odd exceptional foreigner, like Molby:)

I think Kenny sees Henderson as a long term Gerrard replacement. Gerrard has most likely got 3-4 years at most been his energetic box to box midfielder, after that he will be pinging balls around sat in front of the defence. By then Henderson will be 23/24 and hitting his form.
How does he fit in with other midfielders, easy:
    LW - Nzogbia (or Downing)/Maxi
    DM - Lucas/Spearing
    AM - Gerrard/Adam or Henderson
    RW - Henderson/Meireles

Shelvey needs to go on loan, Bolton would be ideal for him, plenty of games, local, and Coyle plays a decent style of football. Alternitively loan to Wigan as part of Nzogbia deal.

Completely agree. If he can get some first-team experience, it will benefit him massively.
