I haven't witnessed any incidents like this, everybody I've spoken to giving out leaflets and such have been decent blokes, but that maybe because I agree with the campaign so there's nothing to argue about.

Though whoever the ****s are who are sticking leaflets on Assem's car need shooting. Stuff like that is unnecessarily confrontational and the campaign appears to be shooting itself in the foot with stuff like that.

I agree with the campaign and yes i stood up and sang at 19.04, what i dont agree with is the heavy handed way some of the leaflet distributors tried to get the message across and i dont particularly like being called a ****er by anyone, regardless of the circumstances.

I've been very impressed with the volunteers giving out leaflets, if any offended anyone, then I'm disappointed.

I remain convinced that the vast majority of City fans want us to be called Hull City, while that remains the case, then the campaign continues.

I can only speak on what I saw, and the people handing them out where very polite. I also didn't notice an excessive number of leaflets thrown away.

The campaign's in it's infancy, and for some peculiar reason, we have some people who support the cause but are against the campaign, but I reckon those organising and involved are capable of learning from each experience.

Wow Miff, that's pretty appalling treatment, and exactly what I said would happen to anyone who refuses one, for any reason and politely. Interesting it's happened to a few others too, and interesting the responses to that as well.

so the campaign needs to find out who was where and sort accordingly ... no surprise when there is so much passion involved ... next meeting just remind the guys to not be over zealous in there methods ... its easy ... don't force it .. let it develop

Nobody involved in the campaign put anything on Assem's car.

If leaflets are given out, people can keep them, bin them, or leave them on Assem's car, there's little we can do about that, but it's certainly not done with our blessing.

You don't see too many "No to Hull Tigers" badges lying around on the floor do you ? People will read a leaflet and discard it,maybe thinking to themselves "I already know that",and some will take it home to read later.

I'm sorry if some people were, upset with way the vendors behaved, but i'm absolutely certain that those volunteers will have been given a hard time/heard enough sarcastic comments themselves by 3 o/clock.

This campaign will carry on,for the rest of this season and beyond, because there are more than enough people who care about the history of our club.

I passed a proud mam pushing her silver cross, down prinny ave today,it had a badge on it <ok>

Edit: The pram i mean

Well done to all those who took the time to hand out leaflets and badges , the ones I saw seemed to be going a decent job
I do think the majority of people who go to the KC are apathetic though , I wonder what would actually make them stand up and protest ?

I take issue with one point. They don't care enough.

I guess the point is they don't care enough about what Allam calls the club, and they don't care that much what MOTD or Sky Sports calls them. They like myself will continue to refer to them as Hull City come what may.

Unless Assam hits a legal challenge, he will press ahead with the name (and badge) change for next season. I suspect he will compromise and we will end up as Hull City Tigers.

    Therefore a prediction for you...

Most of the anti-brigade on here will still turn up at the KC next season.
Most of them will continue to chant "City" songs (including me), and this will be less of a protest, just more of what we have always called our team.

The silly AFC song however will die-off.

It always both worries me and depresses me that so many 'fans' actually enjoy that halftime **** with the large inflatable balls and two 'kerrazeee' 'fans' race eath other to score.

There's no wonder these leaflets confuse them....too many long words and abstract concepts.

Get over yourself... There is no hierarchy of fans... Those who are turning up for the first time this season are just as valid as the ones who have turned up for the past 20 years. They are customers, the same as you and I.

I went into the ground across Walton street then into the park. There were a couple of blokes giving leaflets and badges out and I was not forced to take one. I never witnessed them trying to shove it into peoples hands and I purposely looked to the ground on a number of occasions on the way in and didn't see any discarded leaflets.

Our campaign does not take place in a vacuum. Protesting has always been a minority thing. Singing at City seems, at times, an even smaller minority thing, so putting the two together was going to be hard work. I thought the results were encouraging. The noise levels rose and large sections of the East Stand and South Stand joined in. I've only heard that level of noise occasionally before. So for me yesterday was successful.

I agree we need to find ways of getting to all types of City supporter but the last fortnight is just the start.

I wouldn't be too sure about how Assem Allam feels about your season ticket for next year. We have spent £11 million more than our income this season (Assem Allam's Look North interview) and that can only be funded by more borrowing. Then there's next season's spending to consider. The premier league eats up loads and loads of cash.

In an ideal world Assem Allam would be talking to fans about how to increase the take on match days, the take from Tiger Leisure and how we could enjoy our season in the premier league. Instead we're talking about him taking our name. You couldn't make it up.

The fans I meet handing out leaflets do care about our name, not all of them will sing, but they do care. Please rethink what you've written, the campaign has a long way to go and some fans may eventually surprise you.
