I have no idea what he is on currently or what he wants/expects. I would not have thought it was too hard to get him to sign, we are not exactly short of cash right now.

He turned down Celtic before for a few quid more in the past....that was a good career choice. As long as he recalls that when thinking over his offers he will hopefully make an informed choice . He hasnt yet done enough to be a top earner at the club. If he wants to be on the same as Ledley then he needs to consistently show he is worth it on the pitch. If he does the club will offer it to him. If he doesnt...they wont

Yes, we are indulging in a lot of guessing. I don't know if he's asking for the same as the tap tap earners, or whether he is asking for parity with either of the two strikers we brought in during the summer that he is keeping out of the side.
It's always the same aint it? We have wild stabs in the dark about who is on what, and whether he's worth what we think he's on, it's all pretty pointless to speculate imho. I don't want him to leave but it's not as simple as saying just give him what he wants either. Que sera sera
