Same MoN who's squad stopped performing for him at christmas.

Imo it doesn't matter who the Manager/coach is, when the players turn then it's goodnight, Three times our squad has ousted a manger of different philosophy and temperament. Blame Paolo for everything all you want Cest. I for one am not so gullible. (And just to say it's not a defence of the nut case but an attack JoS and his band of merry, useless, power enriched halfwits)

Difference is that the players were still with ONeill and to be fair Bruce to a larger extent even right to the end. It was more results and poor performances that spelled the end. I've never known a manager completely lose the dressing room inside a few months and in his honeymoon period.

Cloughie was despised by the senior Leeds players before he arrived and yet even he lasted 44 days before he was ousted. PDC came with a total clean slate and even had a famous derby victory to throw in and yet he was in physical confrontations with his players inside 6 months?

He is without doubt the worst appointment and has precided over the total decimation of our club in that time too. I'm not naive enough to realize it's our **** team and squad that lies behind this but also honest enough to see a disaster of a manager when I see one.

Like ****e he did. The media were on him from the start, most football followers hated him from the off (Check the forum of other teams on their Paolo threads) Even our own fans were split right from the off with views ranging for facist lunatic to those blindly defended him. Off the back of that do you really think that Paolo walked into that dressing the day he took charge and have 100% player backing in the mind of the players. Odds are not a chance mate. We agree that he should never have been appointed first place and we agree he had to be sacked but I won't buy into all our problems being Paolo's fault like I don't buy into the idea that the buck stops with the manager and playing staff are never accountable. But that's the way the game is today but I'll never ever subscribe to it and accept it.

Paolo didn't tell them play a sloppy passing game, Paolo didn't tell a defender to switch off, lose the ball, bring the attacker down, give away a penalty and get sent off when we'd just dragged ourselves back in the game. Paolo didn't tell our keeper to flap at every cross all season.

The players are under contract at our beloved club and should put 100% into every game regardless of manager and regime. They could have contacted their union and approached the board and still wear the shirt with pride but they didn't and that is not Paolo's fault, it's the players fault and their lack of ethnic. They saw fit to manipulate the Boards views in a way that hurts the club most. By putting in poor performances. We've seen it a 100 times since the premiership was formed and is destroying the game imo.

I'm disgusted with the vast majority of the squad regardless of them raising their game having gotten their own way. I'm ashamed to say they're part of our club. Makes my skin crawl in fact. They've still a whole season to turn on the new boss, spit their dummy and get us relegated while half of them walk freely from the club with their expired contracts and probably find premiership clubs. It's a stark disturbing possibility and frankly I'm half expecting it.

He came with a completely clean slate as far as the players were concerned and still managers to be going toe to toe with them inside of 6 months. Regardless of the opinions we all hold of the pathetic ****ers in the team and squad, that's a remarkable situation for a new manager to find himself in. The national media behaved appallingly over his appointment but they didnt force the players and the manager to fight with each other inside 6 months. PDC did that all by himself

We'll have to agree to disagree on this fella, I think every rung of the club has played it's part in getting us in this position. I think we need to hire a miracle worker who can succeed where Bruce, MoN and Paolo all failed miserably with their own techniques. Kidnapping family members couldn't get some of this lot playing with any purpose, they just don't give a ****.

But I'm not disagreeing with you about this set of ****ers Bri. They have a lot to be blamed for but PDC's demise is 100% down to his crap management ability and insane character and nothing else.

Oh right. Yeah he was his own worse enemy, agreed. Shame we can't sack some of the squad.

Cracking banter and debate tonight fella. I've enjoyed it. <ok>

Sadly economics dictates that the manager pays the price for the teams failures as it's cheaper to sack him than 12 players.

I desperately hope a new man can get rid of most if these hapless ****ers at the first available opportunity and tbf, if di Canio wasn't such a ****ed up head case he could have been the one to do it.

We have a few out if contract players I'd peddle next summer.

    Enjoyed the crack to Bri.

There's only Colback I'd give one to. We'd need to be busy next summer if we let them all go but it would see our wage bill drop massively which will give our budget more leeway, or if we're relegated, the best fighting chance of financial recovery.

Don't mention relegation just yet kidda, I've had a belly full of them over the last 40 years. Another one would be the worst of all.
