2-0 was flattering. We defended poorly and gifted the two goals. After the first you created nothing without our inept CBs' help. Dyer had the right side of the field sewn up and we played some lovely stuff at times. Poor crossing and finishing did for us today but you can only beat what's in front of you so well done.
Tbf though, anyone would fancy their chances when put up against Fox at LB. Thankfully we don't have to play him every week.
Can't argue too much with that except that Boruc didn't have all that much to do in the second half given all Swansea's possession. Swansea will play a lot worse and win just as we will play a lot better and lose. That, as they say, is football.
Strategic. Laudrup would've set up for a team that defends stoutly, passes well but struggles to finish. We opted to change things up by defending shakily, passing poorly and burying our chances.
Villa away last season was the last time I recall us getting more from a game than we maybe deserved - about time !
Oh for sure. Injuries and part and parcel of football. But you didn't have to replace Williams with Fox
Fox did make a few of his out of position howlers today...... However, he also made a couple of very good last ditch tackles, and got his head on the end of a cross that was destined for Bony....he wasn't brilliant, but for the sake of balance he didn't screw us either.
Congratulations lads, thought a draw was a fair result, but you have to take your chances you did we didn't. Someone mentioned Dyer's crossing being poor, we've all been saying that for ages. Then again none of our team can really cross a ball. On last thing, Jason if you read this Bastard!!!!! Suppose I'm in for some stick tomorrow!!!
