Niemi was the best I have seen until Boruc. But I would guess(and been told by my dad ) that Shilton was.

Compare last year's PL table at this point to this season...then, there were seven teams posting less than a point a game and six clubs had racked up a GD of -5 or more. The difference between 7th and possible European qualification and a relegation spot was already nine points, between first and seventh was up to seven points.

Now, with the exception of Sunderland/Palace in danger of being cut loose early, the whole thing is flat...no one separating at the top, little separation in mid-table. Who the hell brought parity to the Prem!?

 

I don't think its "brought", its more likely, "bought"!

 

The PL was getting boring...often the most interesting bit was the relegation battle. Could be very interesting this season and you never know a cheeky little team could sneak into the CL

So according to Mauricio our problem was the early goal which put pressure on us to hold on when Swansea upped their game. Hope he told Adam off for ruining the game plan

 

I listened to the Radio 5 live commentary and when we got our corner before Victors disallowed goal Tony Pulis immerdiateley said Mike Dean would blow for a foul. He said the corner was a mistake and Dean would make amends by giving a foul for a non existent push. Hey presto he did!

For those refs out there, Q DTLW and Tom is that a common occurence amongst officials?

 

Interestingly, couldn't that picture almost be from league one?

 

I think the scoreline flattered us but we looked solid with the exception of fox. Now im not fox bashing but we need to invest in a good LB backup in Jan.

Other than that good performance against good opposition. Oh and another thing- 4th in the league!

 

How? 2 of those players weren't around then.
