Agree entirely tipsy. Rather like the Arsenal away game last season, the result was thoroughly undeserved, though in this case avoidable and not down to a penalty. But we played much better in midfield and in attack. <ok>

    <ok> Thai <laugh>

Actually I always felt Chelsea had a further gear, which our equaliser prompted them to slip into. That's where the cool heads were needed. <ok>

Was watching the game in a Shanghai pub with a Norwich fan. I thought you played very well today. Definitely going to stay up. However you shot yourselves in the foot.

I think overall we deserved 3 points but you gave us a run for our money and tbh when you scored, instead of sitting back, you should have gone for the 3 points and you could have got them.

But what a goal from Oscar and Willian's goal was stunning. Our away support was superb and overall it's a top win for us but well played. You'll be more than fine this season. You just need to get your strikers firing on all cylinders.

Excellent performance against a CL team playing really well. The first goal was soft but the mid-field 3 looked very good again. Yes Tettey made a mistake, but he did very well to get back to nick the ball - just didn't nick it far enough! I'm glad they went for it and really worried Chelsea. Fer was very impressive in the middle of the pitch and certainly gives that outlet we've all been wanting. RvW's knock down and Pilk's glancing header were both top class. Sad about the result, but not the performance.

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am getting (perhaps I need to not think about it?) That 2nd goal for Chelsea was not even a counter attack - it was a 'hoof', which caught Tettey out (then JR)

not sure if you were at the game robbie but let me tell you, chelsea were well and truly rocking - you could almost feel the ball being sucked towards their goal. we were set up to take the game to them in the final quarter of the game and we did just that - i'm glad we didn't try to settle for what we had because the result could have gone either way. we effectively lost to a mistake (i doubt the brilliant 3rd would have happened had we stopped the 2nd). i honestly thought we were going to go on and win the game, a game we deserved to at least get a point and possibly 3 from. again, some awful refereeing has gone against us, not that it effected the result i expect, but it really was an excellent match, very entertaining, especially 2nd half, and no fan could have asked any more of the lads today.

we didn't sit back at all. we pushed numbers forward to try and get a winner and got caught by a couple of mistakes on the break.

Gotta feel for Tettey; he did a superb job tracking Hazard all the way until the clearance...

Mourinho went for a gamble by removing a full back for one of their star midfielders, we tried to counter what they done at the back by bringing on Redmond against three defenders I reckon in the long run with a fresher team our gamble would of paid off, the second goal was catalogue of mistakes which they capitalised o the third I barely registered it happening no matter how great it was.

You did... You went back on the front foot when Redmond came on. But you did shoot yourselves in the foot with that corner.

So hoofing the ball forward is now considered to be a counter attack? Good lord <doh> <laugh>

It was not a great corner for sure, but what happened next was luck, no more, no less. It was certainly was not a silky passing move or a defence splitting ball, it was a hoof - plain and simple, and you got the break. That defeat today was undeserved, no matter what anyone says. Had that hoof not resulted in a goal, it is also unlikely that that the really good goal would have ever happened.

I don't want to say we were robbed, but definitely were unfortunate to lose the game in the last 9 minutes <ok>

No, I was watching on a stream. All I'm saying is that against teams of the quality of Chelsea, or teams who are particularly dangerous on the counter, you've always got to be alert to the danger and make sure you have enough cover. As it is, we've not only not got a point, we've doubled our negative goal difference. Neither matters that much at this stage, and the main thing is definitely the performance; but unless we learn the lesson we are storing up trouble for ourselves in the longer run. <ok>

no we didn't. you won't find a single person who went to the game who thought we 'sat back on the draw'.

    not one <ok>

chelsea got lucky today - these things happen. hopefully we'll get a little luck next time around - i think we are due some

i agree we've got to be alert to the counter but i think we were - problem is, tettey made a mistake and ruddy, i feel, probably could have done better. two individual mistakes from a big hoof down field. 99 times out of 100 chelsea don't score from that corner but unfortunately for us, they did. it just wasn't meant to be today but we ran them close, more than close and i really felt we would go on to win the game with 20 minutes left. even with their talented midfield and creative players, it took us shooting ourselves in the foot for them to get through. as i say, the third was sensational but wouldn't have happened had we stopped the 2nd - we were a bit shellshocked by it.

Wasn't actually a hoof which undid us. Yes the ball was just cleared from the corner, but Willian latched onto it and saw the opening for Hazard's run. Good alertness on their part. Even then, Tettey and JR between them could and probably should have stopped it; but my general point is that WE need to be more alert. But anyway, as I say, pity about the result, but the overall performance and quality of our play is what really mattered. Onward and hopefully upward from now on! <ok>

No, no.no.no.no - I am not buying it - he hoofed it! Hazard was about 4-5 yards behind Tettey and never looked like getting anywhere near the ball, until Tetty tapped it, instead of launching it somewhere near the train station <laugh>.

That's another thing reminiscent of Arsenal away last season. Becoming shell-shocked can be bad for your goal difference. [I realise I'm sounding like a Canary Caller, but these details add up and can prove the difference between success and failure. <ok>

i think you're being a bit harsh to be honest. we'll play much worse than today and win this season. sometimes you just don't get the rub of the green and today was one of those occasions, just as arsenal away was last time. the third goal was world class anyway - not sure what we could have done about that

Very much so, and I remember all too well how I felt after that game - still pissed off about the off-side goal <laugh>
