Wilshere looked solid on the wing and in his short cameo against Napoli. No reason to use a not fully fit Rosicky over Wilshere. Not to mention AW said Jack is playing against WBA
I was just thinking that with Flamini and Arteta available we should give Ramsey a one match rest. Hes played a lot and we have internationals coming up followed by two games a week again after. We still have Flamini, Arteta, Wilshere, Ozil and Rosicky to start.
We should go with strongest team, now's not the time to start resting players, it's only October. Plus it will almost be 5 days off since our last game against Napoli by the time we play again, that's ample rest time for a player.
This is a game we should win given our current form, I believe we can win. It doesn't mean we will but if we defend well and play as well as we have we can get a result.
Hi all, good to be back, massive props to A87 and Arsegun for the support. I've put TT on ignore now, so mods shouldn't have anymore trouble from me. Regarding the match, i think we should win. Our kids beat a near first 11 of theirs, so our seniors should win easily.
I for one will be sad there will be no more battles for our souls (Good vs Evil) - Who is one what side I will leave to perspective.
I agree with this. I'd hate Rambo to burn out early in the season and our fixtures start getting tough after the int break, we have enough quality in midfield without him to beat the Baggies. AW will have his work cut out keeping everyone happy when they're all fit so a little tinkering will help, what a great problem to have....
Hope not! The Mert-Kosc partnership is easily our best. Unless it is precautionary to rest Mert or because he has a little injury problem then i'd rather we didnt mess with our back line.
I have to disagree with those suggesting that Ramsey should be rested. Ramsey is in a rich vein of form at the moment and we should make hay. This match is absolutely crucial in my opinion; if we win, then we go into the interlull top of the league and when the footy returns we should have Caz and Theo back: more than enough to compensate for the theoretical 'slump in form' that Ramsey may or may not have as the season progresses.
Knowing our luck, we'll win this game comfortably and then pick up a whole new load of injuries during the international break. I hate to be a pessimist but with our record, we only seem to ever have a fully fit squad at the tail end of the season when we have nothing to play for (apart from 4th). I really hope I'm wrong though.
