Hit to do something down that left flank neither Fox or Davis can stop the supply from Dyer Artur playing a blinder and Adam looking very good up front Need to close down quicker as we are giving Shelvey too much time
Yeah, been wondering about how much Michu is worth, he is phenomenal for us even when the others are letting the team down, Michu is just a beast. Happy he is still with us, but that wont last forever and a bid will come in at some point. Anyway, I hope Boruc likes to watch the birds in the second half ....
The difference on each flank is so noticeable it pains me, every time the ball has come out to Routledge Clyne has been on him like a rash, given him no time or space and the only time he's got the ball around our box has been from over hit crosses. When the ball comes out to the left, Fox is holding Lovren's hand and Davis is willingly tracking back but neither are getting anywhere near it on most occasions.
Fox has no chance of effectively closing down a player with Dyer's pace so it's not really fair to criticise him for not doing it. If they are going to play him then they need to provide him with more support than Shaw would need. On a more positive note, Lallana is having his best game for a long time; it's great to see him back to his best.
wouldn't mind seeing chambers on for fox, even rodriguez on the left would be an improvement imo. For some reason rodriguez doesn't get much credit for his defensive work but he's fast and can apply pressure and that's what we lack down our left he's also handy on the counterand we've had a few of them as well.
On the Michu header, it was Fox and Davis doubling up on Dyer. Davis had him inside; Fox didn't have to match his pace, but he bloody well needed to be within five yards. There's no way that a player ought to be able to take two steps and deliver an uncontested cross with two players defending him.
You're right but on the other hand, if Fox closes him down, Dyer goes past him like he's not there and has a one-on-one with Boruc, so he may well have chosen the lesser of two evils. As someone else said recently (sorry I can't remember who you were), it's not Fox's fault he's not good enough, it's the people who pick him.
Just had a quick browse of the Swansea forum, apparently according to one poster we're parking the bus and playing hoofball!
Fonte showing why I don't rate him as highly as some. Weak backpass and then talked himself into the book. More generally, I don't like how many chances they're getting.
