Just had an awful last 18 hours. Really serious cold or something. Coughing all the time. Can't be flu because it started to hit early yesterday and this morning I'm feeling a bit better. What a rotten night though. What is it they say in old stories..? The fever is broken..!

Stuck indoors. What a great use of a rare sunny weekend. The bike must think I've abandoned it. The TV is going to be turned on... maybe.

    hope this is rubbish!

Dani Osvaldo has revealed he is already thinking about leaving Southampton, writes Dean Jones of the Sunday People.
The striker made a sensational £15million move from Roma to join Saints in August describing the move as a “dream”.
But the physical nature of English football has not impressed the Argentinian-born Italy international.
He said: “Football here is so physical, but it doesn’t have the technique and quality that is has in Spain.
“I’m already thinking about moving back to Argentina. I want to play for Boca, that’s my dream.
“I have been dreaming about wearing Boca’s shirt during my entire life.”

Think The Mirror got confused tbh. The interview I read said he wants to end his career there, nothing about him wanting to go there already.

That sums The Mirror & tabloid journalism up perfectly.

Indeed. Some of those quotes are pure invention. I read one of these articles the other day and barely gave it a thought afterwards, because that's how much notice one needs to take of these things.

I don't think was any confusion. They deliberately got the message wrong.

I'm not going to suggest that the Daily Mirror does this, but do you not think that a few bob changes hands from football clubs to media to write articles that could help to destabilise the feel-good factor at rival football clubs..?

In the Crystal Palace pre-match conference, Poch referred to the journos present as having to find a negative. I didn't hear any of the journos protesting their innocence, at such a wild, general swipe to their raison d'etre.

Definitely not racist. It's about the level of wit I'd expect from him. He's not the brightest. Poor joke, possibly insensitive, definitely stereotyping, not racist.

I don't think he's saying Chinese kids work in factories, but rather criticising Apple's production techniques for using child labour (or at least exploitative labour practices). I'm pretty sure it's nothing against Chinese people.

Right, but he is also making a lazy joke about Chinese kids all being used for cheap labour, so you can look at it from two angles.
