So the EP is reporting that the derby games are not going to be bubble trips and even better, will be policed at the train stations by the British Transport Police. http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/Police-station-Swans-derby-clash/story-19891928-detail/story.html I don't think the minority (of complete ****ing morons from both sides) can be trusted with the reputation of both our clubs.
It doesn't say it is NOT a bubble trip. They may have police on duty because there are still people who travel independently and will watch the game in pubs.
I agree PGF, it doesn't say it's not a bubble trip, but that's what I took from, "We're working very closely with South Wales Police to ensure we create a safe and comfortable environment for the travelling public, especially those fans travelling to and from the game" and I take that to mean the public will be sharing trains with travelling fans.
No bubble trip = blood bath . I don't know what is happening here but I hope this isn't about trying to save money, we will have the eyes of the world on us with that game and the last thing we need is mindless morons ruining the reputation of Swansea and Wales, I didn't say Cardiff because their reputation is already ruined, we have moved away from that but with tensions always running high at derby games now is not the time to make any safety changes .
Why risk it ? as much as I hate the "derby games " and all that they entail at least the tossers can at least be kept apart to a certain extent .
Please or please, don't let it be anything but a bubble. The eyes of the world will be on this & it could turn out like something from South America (blood-bath's)!! A certain type of 'fan' will turn up for this, with only one thing in mind!! No no..... We can't give them the slightest chance of undoing all the good work & intentions of the two clubs' & the their right-minded fans'....
This game HAS to be a bubble trip, I'd NEVER make my way to the game by car as I don't think you could get to the ground without hassle, NOT worth it. I've done may a derby day even when away fans were banned, for the game not to be a bubble then I'd hate to see what might happen.
Well if they want to be as daft as to drop the 'bubble trips' then they deserve all they get, Idiots!.....................
I find it very disheartening that supporters should wish for a bubble match especially in the modern game. You all live together in your social and working environment without harm as supporters from opposing teams, sharing banter at every result that goes against your opposite number. I am totally against bubble matches, travelling long distance on coaches and sharing local games via private transport, surely it is for the majority of law abiding followers to show disapproval at the moron minority. Within the 21st century game technology gives us data bases and control of tickets. There is no need to in my opinion to allow our politically correct police controlled state to take away our freedom of movement as well. I can remember playing Coventry at Northampton recently where the police and stewards tried to direct us to the away pub TGI Fridays!!!...my exchange of discussion with them was you are having a laugh...I went to the so called home team pub wearing my colours and was accepted as it should be, albeit while they were all standing out on the hill. Why should football supporters automatically be treated as criminals in search of trouble and what a sad sorry state of affairs if bubble matches have become an accepted form of controlling rival teams. Have we really not moved any further forward than the 70's? Yesterday my team played the franchise and yet when approached my opposing supporters who were lost on their travels, I directed them to where they needed to be as a fellow human being and as I would expect to be treated on my travels in a moment of need, putting my distaste at their colours to one side. I know your rivalry is probably something I may not fully understand...but a bubble really?
Brb, you dont understand this derby, that's blatantly obvious. If its anything other than a bubble people will get seriously hurt. I don't care if that is the mindless morons on either team, but all to often it will be your average fan. Cardiff have one of the worst reputations in the football league and our own morons rise to the challenge. It may help for you to know that I stopped supporting Wales when I was threatened by Cardiff 'fans' with a 7 and 9 year old in tow. The Cardiff stewards just laughed. If it goes ahead with free travel I hope there are loads of police with their batons drawn, they will certainly need them.
That's just it - we don't! Everton and Liverpool share the same city so there is that element of hostility being diminished because many people know each other so there is more respect. That's not the case here.
If thier dull enough to let it be a normal trip up there the kids will kick off big time drawing in the older guys that should know better and THERE WILL BE BLOOD ! And then come the return game here it may be behind closed doors or policed like a terrorist hot spot ! Or is it worth the risk to see if 2 welsh teams in the prem at last can act like normal football fans and enjoy it just for what it is a game we all look foreward to for the right reasons ?
I'm sorry but what is the travelling distance between Cardiff and Swansea, one hour maybe, so I don't understand this concept of how your two communities don't supposedly work or live together. Is there a an invisible border? What's this rivalry based on in cultural, religious or race terms...I truly don't understand it. I just about get the Celtic v Rangers thing in the old firm derby (sectarianism) although don't pretend to be knowledgeable on it, in my protected little south eastern world. Obviously there is something with Swans v Cardiff much deeper that I don't see but surely with the technology based on the same as my club...with database, account numbers, ID picture cards, non transferable tickets, currently only for ST's but probably to be extended like all ideas. You are both Premier League so I expect both clubs already to be at that level and beyond. Unless of course this threat of violence is likely locating from non football fans, or is it all but nothing more than male testosterone.
