I do like him but .. How can a man built like a brick ****house be knocked off the ball so many times. He needs to be knocking players over to get the ball. Frustrating !!!

I thought he played well tbh but the service and passing to him was appalling in the second half. He didnt have one decent ball to his feet for the whole 2nd half and 2 defenders up his ass all game too.

I understand about the service but sometimes you have to make the best of what you've got. If you get crap you have to work even harder and put yourself about. I do rate him and know he can get goals but he has got to be more physical and win more balls.

He had loads of ball to him.
He was more interested in the player than the ball though.
He is more interested in getting his body in the way and trying to buy fouls than actually playing football.
The OP is correct he goes down far to easy.

JJ. Yhis is his second attempt to get goals in this division and yet again he is failing.

A bad buy in my eyes.

No Paddock Man. If he did well he would have scored - or set one up. He is as bad as any plank we have had at center forward. Worse than Bob Lee. His size? He should be bursting through and killing defenders at corners, set plays..... But he cant. Give the lad from Liverpool a game. Give Duncan Watmore a go.

Altidore wont score all season. Neither will Ji or Whickham. We'd be better off getting Graham back frfom Hull.

He could do with a bit more aggression to match his abilities. Eventually intimidated by Vidic.

Vidic didnt even braek sweat but when nobody is near alti what is the point in winning the ball. Midfield too slow helping him.

I'm worried he will go all season without scoring.

I thought he did really well, then seemed to tire after 60 mins or so

but who did we have to come on for him? -he bust a gut out there today and we won a lot of balls in the first half that were pumped towards him.

No arguments about him doing better first half, whilst we had the 3 midfielders chasing down the oppos.
Second half when we needed him most, he went missing and fell over a lot imho.

I think the lad looks decent. Looked like he picked up a knock midway through the 2nd half. Would have taken him off Wickham

Jose Altidore = A poor mans Heskey, same style, just not as good and that worries the **** out of me. Any time Fletcher is injured or missing this is the guy who we are relying on.

Whickham did a better job of holding the ball up and then distributing it and he was only on the pitch 10 minutes.
